Sorcha's new EP has been worth waiting for. We're very proud to get her on board on CROSSWALK.
She's proving once again her huge talent that touches us beyond the traditional codes of folk music. Her unique voicing and some great production skills give us the chance to enter Sorcha's universe that stands between indie/alternative pop and folk. Fulled with melancholia, but never too negative, the lyrics have something universal that we can all identify with. 
The three magnificent original tracks get balanced by two wonderful remixes. Lexer, who already remixed Sorcha's song "Alone" along with David K last year, dived into the main title of the EP "Last Train". The result is a real deep-pop gem that will stick to your playlist for quite some time. Finally, Rauschhaus has reworked "Do You Still", empowering it with some wonderful arrangements.

Are you ready for the biggest funk cover of the year? Since dropping the sold out "Attention!" single on Freestyle last year, Israels hottest funk band, The Apples, have been busy touring Europe (playing to a packed out Jazz Café) and thankfully slaving away in the studio to create this monster. A firm favourite on the road, this cover version of Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name Of" slays crowds everytime. From the well known bass rumble of the intro, the tracks steams straight into the heaviest of breaks, with some of the sharpest horns you'll hear outside of the Dap Kings camp. The chorus is left wide open for your crowd to sing along to which, having been road tested on CDR, happens everytime. A sure fire party starter!

Instantanée de 2011 ou ode à la vingtaine faussement innocente, c'est d'abord quatre promesses de lâcher prise qui gisent dans Eleven Shaking Twenty. Offrant des réverbes majestueuses à leurs pulsions simplistes, The Aerial mixent beats burnés et basse syncopée pour créer une cohérence folle – car improbable – entre chants courroucés, et palette de riffs aiguisés sur des nuages d'harmonies fondues ... du verre étincelant en somme.

Donne ta main et prends la leur, dans la tronche : Kick It Up se regarde et s'entend comme un rictus clamant que "rien est vrai, tout est permis". Un titre aux effets pervers qui viole les frontières interdites, jusqu'à ce que ce saxo überséducteur enfante poignée de fantasmes kitschs ( genre strip-tease eighties). Suivent alors la confession de leur mélomanie devant l'éternel (Clarity), devant des répliques d'adolescence (Losing My Head), et cet imparable hymne fondateur à la basse étoilée (Ticking Hearts). En bref : une belle insouciance qui masque un travail acharné.

Cet EP ou la bande son d'une atmosphère outrageusement respirable, The Aerial, qu'on ne comparera à rien, s'élève en formation de l'everywhere, du nulle part, de l'aérien.

Senior is the introverted, dwelling and sometimes graceful counterpart to last year's Junior: brim-full with dark secrets and distorted memories, insisting I'm old, I've got experience... Senior  is furthermore an album about age, horses and being subdued, with devils breathing down your neck. Each track is equally as important as its predecessor and successor. We feel that none of the tracks should be regarded outside of this context. Quite a "brave"/stupid thing to do in this day & age of iPods and cherrypicking, one might suggest. We couldn't agree more - hell that's even probably why we did it.
