Rue de la Paix, le premier album long jeu d’Antoine Fugère, est un heureux mélange de musique folk, de blues, d’indie rock, avec un soupçon de reggae. Des textes personnels et francs, chantés mélodiquement et suavement par endroits, slamés et débités énergiquement en d’autres occasions, ponctuent la musique. Produit de manière complètement indépendante dans son Studio de la Maison Onirique, l’album est une compilation de plus d’un an de sessions musicales spontanées, de jams en band, les chansons étant souvent arrangées sur le vif, selon l’énergie du moment, tout le monde ensemble. Le tout a été enregistré sur du ruban magnétique, selon des méthodes ancestrales obscures qui se sont perdues depuis l’avènement du laptop.

These are 'Songs from Another Time'! 

Recorded 2002-ish...roughly speaking.

We rediscovered them, love them, and decided to share. 

Most of these beauties are written by Doriano Radice (vocals, keyboards, acoustic guitar), Marcus plays guitars, bass, trumpet. backing vox, and Simon produces, mixes, and plays harmonica. Paul Cudby played Keys on 'Believe.' Marcus wrote 'Waves'.

We played as a band in the 90's and 00's - gigging all over London, with various (not always great) names. And of course, many different drummers :)

We got so bloody close to actually getting somewhere, but somehow fate seemed to tease us! 

We played on the same bill as Peter Frampton, Boy George, Dodgy, Kiki Dee and Tony Hadley - we were supported by the Stereophonics, were close to being signed by Alan McGee and Bob Geldof came to see us, and proffered some very frank advice! 

This stuff is the latter stages. In many ways the most wonderful of times - we all had space in between jobs to just record and be creative. The songs were getting really good - but then life took over somewhat - we had beautiful babies (Simon became a Grampa), priorities changed, we didn't really get a chance to share any of it. And then bang!!

20 plus years later, we reconnected and rediscovered the music X

Thank fuck Simon diligently archived it all :)
