We're truly thrilled to unveil our next release, presenting the magnificent emotional sound tapestry that K2W0 offers with “Remembering LP”. 5 Originals along 4 Remixes by the dearest skarú, The Oddness, Nada & Planet Caravan, makes this release an unforgettable journey through profound and goosebump generating melodies and sound textures. Remembering LP carries influences from blues, downtempo, club music and others combined in one delicious hotpot, with all originals produced from the scratch by K2W0 during the peak of covid. The sensitive listener gets deep insights into the personal reflections and emotions that arose by at that time, translated into sonic languages with heartfelt lyrics and expressive beats.
K2W0 [K two] is a dreamer travelling across unknown yet familiar planes of existence. On his journey, the faceless wanderer encounters unique environments, cultures and beings. Each encounter tells a story of its own, which he expresses through his music. 'K2' is a mountain in Pakistan, which is also the second highest peak in the world. Originally from Pakistan and now living in the UK, K2W0 drew inspiration for his name from his roots.

Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. We were afraid the city would break. As the times became more turbulent with secret meetings and violent outbursts, we watched the crack in our world widen. It was only a matter of time, we thought, before it would tear into two. One night, as we despaired, we saw a figure walking in the moonlight. Bent and old, he glowed like a lit lantern. When we saw he was carrying a large book and a small sack, we knew instantly it was the Old Man of the Moon and called him over. “Please help us,” we begged him, “we need to keep the city together.” The Old Man of the Moon looked at us, our outstretched cracking globe and our pleading faces. Without a word, he sat down before us and opened his book, leafing through the pages and stroking his beard. After several minutes of consulting his book, he opened his sack and handed us a red thread. “You are to hold this until it is needed,” the Old Man told us, and then slapped his book shut and walked away, ignoring our words of thanks. We knew the Old Man of the Moon had given us a string of destiny, one of the very strings he used to bind people together. Jon Sweetname is giving a string of hopes. This is his second offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can deliver tales of the unexpected. Flugen, Sereno and Señora watching birds flying in the garden of earthly delights.

"Moodfamily’s favourite four-piece returns home after many journeys.
Impatient, as we are, we had to hear their stories. Skillfully combining influences, sounds and experiences from east and west, they translated their stories to a new EP, oozing with drama, melancholy and determination.

The EP describes itself as the soundtrack for an adventure to mysterious outskirts around the globe, starting with 'Whale Parade'. This prelude brings you to a hidden land after wandering through forests for many months. Guitar, piano and percussion gently move in and carry you away. By the second track, All Day I Zama, a slow beat dictated by a banket of percussion evolves to a vigorous and groovy track with moaning vocals as the main theme.

In title track Gold Town, you will settle yourself in a covered wagon, heading for dodgy settlements on a misty mountain range, accompanied by a grieving trumpet.

As the wagon slows to a crawl, Ghajar emerges, a downtempo emotion-filled song, where the piano and a scorching synth interchange melodies and tales."

The long awaited first release of Stavroz on Denature Records has arrived! This 5-track EP starts with "Zorrow". This track sounds like an invitation to wander and get lost in the jungle. By the second track, 'Perron 11' the tempo gets more vigorous opening the way to the main track 'Kasambila' and its enchanting ethnic vibes. On the other side of the EP, 'Xs Pls' (pronounce it Extra Small Please) has this unique instrumental groove that four-piece band masters so well. The EP ends with the title 'It was All A Ruse', a melancholic ballad through mystical lands.
