STO returns with ‘Aquasub 5’ – the latest in his razor-sharp club series and another clear statement from the French producer.

Rooted in his now signature Minimal / Deep Tech style, this one hits with purpose. The groove is locked from the jump. A pulsing low-end, tightly sequenced drums and that familiar sense of forward motion he’s made his own.

It’s minimal, but never dull. Each element is placed with intent. Off-kilter synth swells, dubby stabs, flickers of texture – all adding tension without overcrowding the mix.

‘Aquasub 5’ feels engineered for proper soundsystems. The low-end is deep and clean. The hats sit just right. The arrangement evolves slowly, keeping DJs locked in and dancefloors guessing.

Like the rest of the series, it’s a tool – but one with character. It bridges that space between function and feeling. Whether you’re in the warm-up or navigating the late hours, this one holds weight.

Five tracks deep, STO is showing no signs of letting up. ‘Aquasub 5’ proves once again he knows exactly how to build, strip back, and drive a dancefloor without overcomplicating things.

Boogie Vice and N-You-Up team up with Congolese artist Trulybles for ‘Make A Wish’ - a vibrant new cut out now on REK’D, the no-nonsense house imprint from the Rekids crew.

This one’s a mood-lifter. Warm drums, playful percussion, loose bass and a freestyle vocal that hits like a proper jam session. It’s feel-good, unfiltered and completely off the cuff.

The story behind it backs that up. Trulybles wasn’t even meant to be on the track. “I was just being my usual self, chatting and joking around with Boogie and Nick,” he says.

“Music wasn’t even on my mind at that moment. They invited me to hop in the booth. I decided to go with the flow. Once I was in, I just let my personality shine through. I was being my crazy self, and the energy was infectious.”

The track carries that energy all the way through. Halfway in, Trulybles jumps on the church organ, adding a surprise gospel twist to the groove.

“The original mix is sunny and has some of the influences of Trulybles’ church music, as he played the organ on it,” say Boogie Vice and N-You-Up. “The Kinky mix is a bit darker, to be played later in the night.”

That Kinky mix sits on the flip - stripped back, heavier, and made for late hours.

Boogie Vice is a Paris-born, Cape Town-based producer with releases on CUFF, Circa99 and Ed Banger. N-You-Up blends jazz, funk and disco, with past drops on Nervous and Get Physical. Trulybles brings live keys, classical training and now vocals to the party.

Melbourne’s Daniel Cuda steps up for his biggest release yet, landing on Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion label with a killer three-tracker, ‘Mulholland Cowboy’, out on 16 May 2025. 

Coming out of the city’s tight-knit underground scene, Cuda’s built a rep for raw, groove-driven cuts that blur Deep Tech and stripped-back House. He’s previously dropped heat on labels like Techaway, Nervous and his own Milk Crate imprint – earning support from legends like Richie Hawtin, Roger Sanchez and Lazarus himself.

Now, after Lazarus championed tracks on Cuda’s label, the link-up feels full circle.

The ‘Mulholland Cowboy’ EP brings three versatile tracks, each built with the DJ booth in mind.

First up is ‘Dip’ – a bouncy, club-ready weapon with cheeky vocal samples, wobbly synths and a chunky low-end that locks you in. Late-night mischief meets slick minimalism.

The title track, ‘Mulholland Cowboy’, leans darker. Brooding builds, evolving textures and a moody vibe made to shift the atmosphere mid-set. It’s cinematic but club-focused – with the name inspired by the early 2000s film ‘Mulholland Drive’.

Closing the EP, ‘Come Get It’ goes heavy on rhythm – bubbling drums and a rolling, percussive groove designed to keep the momentum up without losing the funk.

"Mulholland Cowboy is my way of blending club energy with a bit of personal flair," says Cuda. "I always write with my DJ sets in mind – ‘Dip’ especially hits that sweet spot between groove and personality."
