It's a tough techno afternoon, as we premiere the track 'Incoming' from Texas born DJ and producer Sara Landry, as she launches her brand new HEKATE label. 

Hailing from Texas, Sara Landry’s roots offer a fresh perspective on the ever-bolstering international techno scene, quickly rising through the ranks of the underground scene. Having recently featured on Boiler Room’s ‘Hard Dance’ and the Possessions Podcast series, Sara's brand of hard techno is out for everyone to hear and enjoy.

Sara’s presence has not gone unnoticed by some of techno’s biggest hitters, gaining the support from the likes of Amelie Lens, Perc, Cera Khin, 999999999, Cassie Raptor, Nico Moreno, Kobosil and Shlomo to name but a few. Landry has also seen a wealth of releases on RAW, Techno Germany and Crisis of Man to name just a few.

This Friday Sara launches her HEKATE label. Named after the Greek Goddess of witchcraft and wild placed, HEKATE (hah-KAH-tee) was created by Sara as a space in which she can express herself freely. Today we premiere the EP’s title track ‘Incoming’, which barrels fervently into a dark abyss of thundering kicks and ride cymbals, with Landry’s signature sound design shining through this track's breakdown.

Four Four Premiere: Sara Landry - Incoming [HEKATE]

Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano have come together to serve up a very personal remix of the hugely influential self-titled classic by Age Of Love. It lands on the original Belgian label Diki Records on August 13th.

Age Of Love wrote and released their most iconic track in 1990. It went on to become a stone-cold dance classic that inspired a whole trance movement that has endured throughout the years. 

The idea to remix 'Age Of Love' started taking shape when KNTXT boss Charlotte was in lockdown with esteemed Italian techno artist Enrico at the end of February last year. As soon as the track was finished, it was played in several live streams and the online community quickly fell in love. The remix bears all the hallmarks of both producers, who between them have a number of Beatport hits and have crafted everything from the darkest drums to the most emotional synths to great effect.

Say Charlotte and Enrico, "It's a very meaningful track for both of us, for various reasons, and it brings back many joyful memories. Remixing such a legendary track was a super fun thing to do, but we noticed how easily and spontaneously we could work together in the studio. We are beyond excited to finally unleash our remix to the world. And this at a time where the world finally seems to be going back to normal. There is no better time for a New Age Of Love. We're ready."

'Age Of Love' (Charlotte de Witte & Enrico Sangiuliano Remix) is a big, driving techno roller. It has heavyweight drums and stripped back percussion which leaves plenty of room for the ionic synth lead and spine-tingling vocals to ring out and really work the crowd into a trance. 

This fantastic remix brings a new perspective to one of dance music's most celebrated and influential tracks.

At the intersection of house and deep tech, KlangKuenstler and Jiggler join forces and give a nod to the good ol’ rave days in their upcoming split EP.
Klangkuenstler’s 'Save The Rave' is a current-day take on a 90s classic sound aesthetic, when electronic keyboards reigned dancefloors. Complete with a brooding bassline and acid tinted flare ups, the resemblance to the rave sound is striking, yet the artist manages to put his own mark on the arrangement, adding plenty of bounce and energy.
'Impact' tells the story of a slow paced, gradually unfolding construction. Solemn strings build up tension, joined by eerie loops at its apex, making for an unpredictably stirring breakdown. 
Klangkuenstler’s second offering 'Exodia' picks up on the rave segment as well, but the sequence is downplayed and carefully layered with wavy synths and processed percussion.
For his double take, Jiggler explores deep techy atmospheres in 'Stairs', a powerful, bass-heavy cut with plenty of dancefloor appeal. Carving out a resonant melody, accented with lively vocals, the track strikes a perfect balance between upbeat and dreamy.

Pleasurekraft return to Drumcode on remix duties after a 2 year hiatus with all engines on the Cosmic Techno ship firing.  Big-room atmospheric drums and an infectious call and response hook intertwine with Green Velvet's otherworldly vocals to produce a new highly visceral and steroid injected version of the original.  The "Space Date" remix marks the sixth collaboration between the seminal purveyors of the Cosmic Techno sub-genre, Pleasurekraft, and Chicago's iconic dance music pioneer Green Velvet. 

The remix initially came about after Drumcode head Adam Beyer heard Pleasurekraft's "Welcome to the Universe" EP [Kraftek] at the end of 2018.  A huge supporter of the Swedish/American production duo, Adam felt so inspired by the whole EP, especially "Main Sequence" that the opportunity for Pleasurekraft to take their love of all things space related lent itself naturally to the thematic elements in Green Velvet's vocals. 

The track's spine is built around a hypnotic groove that is anchored to a single word from the original's vocals : "ecstasy" and slowly builds to the first climax of the record where the listener finally hears Green Velvet's vocals in full for the first time.  However it isn't until the second break of the track that the power of the remix is finally unsheathed, resetting the groove and building up to a second swell featuring a duo of call and response melodies between the lead hook and a lower end bass that takes the intensity of the track up another notch - ultimately culminating in complete silence that gives way to the remix's original heartbeat and repeating mantra: "ecstasy". 

Taking over a month of studio time to complete, it was road tested for the first time at Pleasurekraft's Fabric London gig, where there was no shortage of inquiries as to the ID of the record.  This soon became a repeating theme after Adam Beyer first included it on DCR446 and played it during both of his Ultra Miami (Resistance) sets, including his closing b2b set with Maceo Plex who loved the track so much he proceeded to get his own copy and play it during his own solo set one week later at Time Warp in Germany.  

Multiple clips of the remix have already gone viral on various social media and blog outlets, with no shortage of fans waiting anxiously for the June 24 release date on Adam Beyer's own Drumcode Records. In Adam Beyer's own words, Pleasurekraft are "setting new standards" with their continued foray into the Cosmic Techno sub-genre they continue to define.
