Groove And Bass 2021

Tribal Bass is an umbrella term for all music with a downtempo feel and a breaking groove, that combines progressive sound design with organic elements and deep sub-bass. PsyDub, GlitchHop, post dubstep, deep-step, global beats, ethnic trap, world bass, neuro-funk, raga-bass, hard-wave, farmer-trap, ... you name it, if it slaps and it represents the globalized music community it can be part of our co-creation.

For Mabon (the "end of summer" celebration) we'd like to surrender to the water and the West, the cooling down and finding direction, the becoming soft and starting a journey within again, reaching for the stillness and cool down of winter times. "Into The Flow" is a representation of accepting the cycles and flow of life, and understanding the flow of sound, our bodies and nature.

We want to thank everyone for being a part of this and we would already like to welcome you all to the Tribal Bass Bash in Belgium, summer 2023, date and location TBC.

Mark PM - Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Mark PM began DJing in Montreal in 2011, and then promoting in Toronto in 2016 with Oscillate, and later Temporal Drift.  During the pandemic, Mark turned to radio, holding down shows on Dubplate.fm and Still.fm. He also began focusing heavily on beat-making and production, dropping first EP in 2021 on the Stereo Ferment label.

Khalil Michot, a long time DJ & staple festival act is a midtempo bass DJ currently based in Montreal, Canada. With a musical background heavily influenced by his constant travels and bohemian lifestyle, Khalil’s set will take you from the lands of dripping midtempo bass and 21st century progressive psychedelic textures.

Panoptics is the virtual playground of @Hentopan108 (Be) and @Distalvision (Aus), in which they let their individual styles and inspirations collide into global creative collaborations. DistalVisions trance-inducing cold edged psy-tech style gets organically remixed into creamy lo-fi Tribal Bass by Hentopan and visa versa.

Dark Light is the second official EP of Panoptics in which they further explore and define their style of progressive dance and trance music for the global cyber-nomad generation.

Dark Light is a story of integration and balance, where dark and light meat, where life offers more than a single flat character story but is in fact a spectrum of multi-colored infinite light particles in which we navigate with an often confused or diffused mind. The album references tribal cultures and sci-fi movies and specifically the dellusion of 'time' as a singular dimension, in order to create a timeless space for audio enjoyment and inner-space travelling.
