Capodopere are back with their yearly wax phenomenon, having Suolo on the sixth issue after stamping the catalog with Fanfaronade and Fenomen releases. He has seen touchable changes within the last couple of years as the visions morphed into more subtle and dusky ones, tailoring the pieces to the new eyes wide open conception.

 The ready-steady-go is how we have seen the outset of this record as “No Proof” slams into the speakers with an assaulting force, taking over the surroundings and advancing into the layers of bass lines. Some elements of the piece are carrying geological provenience as Suolo has grounded the percussions and laid the path for the coming vocals. It is certain that the magic happens around the deliberate vocals that as well as their enchanting presence throughout - mark the lively beginning of a musical hike.

As we move to the next episode of the chronicles, “Rudiment” speaks a lot about Suolo’s founding bases, with the heavy lower notes being the first ones to reach the receptors. With no dissonance for ourselves, “Rudiment” is where he achieved the perfect balance between the low and high, inside a spiral of circling ambient buildup. Gently overlapping the A side, B1 is the piece that plunges between the beginning and the ending of this EP. He recreates imaginary sojourns through the layered dissociation of the field elements. It is as Susumu Yokota would produce music for club floors.

“Oasis” is a well-anticipated continuation. The gurgling sub-bass is noted at the first sight yet the rest of the cookout is at the preparation stage. A slashing indigenous voice becomes the companion of the piece throughout the deserted lands of layered pads. We reach the oasis when the sandy kicks are taking over the desolated fields, peaking into the various luminescent shots paired with playful melodies of a recreated xylophone. Is it a somber downhill or an elevating escalator?

Suolo - No Proof (A1)

The twelfth batch of fruits from our fruit orchard have been picked, and are ready to taste.

The deep melodic sounds of French producer Quatri have a depth and uniqueness that is hard to quantify or draw comparisons against. His detailed and emotive production style, which made its foundations at imprints like Oleeva Records and Nie Wieder Schlafen, is quickly turning underground heads.

The title track "Vendet" sits firmly in Quatri's signature style. Surrounded by a crisp drum rack, atmospheres weave in and out, through flutes and influences from the World. "Who Are You" is a lot more clubbier of the two. With brass Parisian elements and a hefty kick, the track will pick up the flow in a set in no time.

The EP is closed off by two remixes from two exciting producers in the scene; Joe Miller and Padre.

Padre's Ceremonial Mix strips everything back, and lets the track breathe. Created in mind for DJs who want to add their own drum beat, the harnessed darkness of Padre's Ceremonial Mix is a testament to his carefully selected taste and producing style.

From the kindest Australian on the planet, Joe Miller's remix carefully respects the original, while refocusing & stripping down elements to take you into a calmer state. Signed to labels like All Day I Dream, Traum + more, and support from Lane 8 and Robert Babicz, Joe Miller is one to look out for.

After six years in the making between Malmö and Berlin, Per Hammar will release his first studio album on his Dirty Hands imprint this May. Spanning 12 tracks, for release on digital, triple vinyl and streaming, the album is designed for the dance floor and represents the evolution of one of Sweden’s finest artists from his musical beginnings in 2004 to the current day. Per Hammar has been associated with labels such as Infuse, Constant Sound, Malin Génie Music and Berg Audio to name a few. Always inspired by music where melody is the focus, Per Hammar notes his subconscious as being an inspiration for his productions. Over the last 15 years, his material has featured influences from dub to video game scores, and trance to happy hardcore, but it's been dub that's held centre focus on his own Dirty Hands productions, and he frequently utilises gear that’s been around for years in the dub scene.
