Karen tried really hard to make god hate her but nothing worked!

SpeedComp is a pointless online competition to make a song in half an hour, limiting yourself to 10 previously unheard samples (and no other sounds). The samples are selected by a different person each round - Insect Deli is doing this round. A link to the sample pack will be posted on this event page at 7:30pm (AEST) Friday December 16th. Make something in half an hour with the sounds and post up a DOWNLOADABLE SoundCloud link to your track on this event page. All entries played on Thematics Radio 2RRR 10pm the following evening then probably some old mods if there's time.

Use whatever software or hardware you like. Don't use VSTIs etc. The aim of Speedcomp is to do something interesting using the 10 samples provided in a limited time. Not transform the sounds into something totally unrecognisable. Maximum track length 5 minutes. Sample pack goes up 7:30 pm AEST but if you're overseas or busy just post something up before 10pm the following evening and we'll include it in the show / podcast.

materials; and produces public art events and projects with youth groups and architects. EMKs paintings and
Audio Composi-tions could be described as intricate, flatly simple homogenizations that are studies of
alternative space and time, inner-landscapes that manoeuvre between Documentry and Science Fiction.
