What’s cancer got to do with crabs, artist Jackson Pollock, and artificial intelligence? It’s not a riddle; these are some of the things we’ll explore with surgeon Grant Stewart, computer scientist Mateja Jamnik and radiologist Evis Sala from the Mark Foundation Institute for Integrated Cancer Medicine.

In this episode, we’ll discover how artificial intelligence is making it easier for doctors to diagnose and treat cancer and we’ll share some cancer facts that are both amazing and disturbing. We also learn about the WIRE clinical trial for kidney cancer. WIRE evaluates the effectiveness of giving a short course of drug treatment to patients in the one-month “window of opportunity” between diagnosis and surgery. Patients on the WIRE trial also undergo a suite of new imaging techniques that have been brought together for the first time globally in this clinical trial.

The latest installment from Roam Recordings comes from the impeccable Belgian producer Cabaret Nocturne who has previous releases on labels such as Beachcoma, My Favorite Robot, Nein, Factor City, and Rotten City. Cabaret Nocturne has been penning fusions of ‘80s pop, dark basslines, and unhinged house beats since the mid-noughties. His new EP for Roam Recordings is a fine addition to his already excellent discography. The title track "Western Ghost" sets the stage for this EP that sounds like it could be from a movie set somewhere in the desert outside of LA which makes it a perfect fit for a West Coast American label. The other original track "Lost Town" brings that idea home with its added guitar and surfer vibe key changes.

The Western Ghost EP also come with two excellent remixes from the likes of Kieran Holden and Damon Jee. Both of these accomplished producers take on one of the originals and deliver their own spin within the theme of this EP. Kieran Holden has a slew of excellent releases on labels such as Tici Taci, Play Pal, My Favorite Robot, Nein, and Rotten City. And Damon Jee also has a prolific discography on labels Blindetonation, Emerald and Doreen, Logical, Discotexas, and Rotten City. Be on the lookout for a solo EP from Damon Jee on Roam Recordings under his alias NOZZ (out later this Fall).

All four tracks on this EP come together to form an incredibly cohesive and easy to play EP from three solid producers that are shaping the sound of today’s dance music.
