This replaces "Song That Might Play When You Fight Sans", and as such never plays in the actual game.

While Asgore swaps with Papyrus, and Toriel takes Sans' place (i.e. Toriel is the NPC who appears later in Calid Crags and Starlight Sea, while Asgore intervenes in the hangout sequence with Napstablook and is being manipulated by the fragments, and is associated with the Royal Guard - yes, the Royal Guard, as opposed to the more expansive MTT-ARMY in this universe), their fights are actually reversed! As such, Toriel is the final boss of the Homely Haven, while Asgore is fought much later on the Genocide route. This is done for a couple reasons:

    I feel like Asgore would angst more over losing Toriel
    Asgore bossfights are epic
    GENOCIDE Asgore bossfights are epic, and I can take inspiration from the numerous examples that exist on the internet
    Toriel's rather distanced character seems more likely to result in a boss fight as you exit Hometown
    Such a bossfight with Toriel is ITSELF most likely to lead into something resembling the Sans hangout sequence
    You get to have a cup of tea with Asgore!
    The song "ASGORE" from Undertale fits so well onto STMPWYFS' arrangement that I can't pass up the opportunity
    It feels like Asgore would be the one who named a song like this.


Toriel and Asgore are romantic partners.

I always found the Altertale set of swaps to be interesting, and am disappointed at how poorly they're executed in the original AU.
