After an electrifying weekend where Balgi set the dancefloor on fire at our party, we returned to the studio, still buzzing with energy. Sharing our works in progress, Balgi seamlessly integrated his skills, igniting the creation of "Beginning of the Path," our debut track on the EP.

But the creative momentum didn't cease. Riding the wave, Balgi improvised, capturing those serene moments amidst the chaos, shaping "Adventure Awaits" and "Quiet Steps."

As Juan (aka Balgi) prepared to depart for his train, Pau and I were still brimming with creativity and determination. In a burst of inspiration, we penned the final tune for the EP, "Landing Spot." Sending it to Juan while he was on the train, he responded with the perfect vocals, completing the EP with finesse—a perfect procedure for an interstellar landing. "Everybody, put your mask on," we added to the description, symbolizing the journey's adventurous spirit.

Fueled by a profound musical connection and a shared vision, our EP has taken shape. Each track is a testament to our collective passion and the synergy between us. Join us as we embark on this sonic journey, inviting you to immerse yourself in our world of sound.

I made a DJ mix with AI! 

I've been looking for a way to combine the different genres I love for a long time. About two years ago I first had the idea of using AI to filter elements out of songs and play with them. After much experimentation, I finally created the DJ set I envisioned, combining genres like electro, grime, dubstep, bass and techno. Last month I was able to play my new set for the first time at D.A.S!

At our latest stage hosting for Drift we invited Islas for the closing slot. She blew us away with a floor-oriented set crossing genres on the move.

Islas' roots were in the visual art. As she grew, the curiousness to sound grew with her. Starting with sets bringing together ambient, ASMR and spoken word; currently reviving dance floors with energetic and highly percussive gems. As artistic busy bee, Ailsa co-founded the PLANET collective and helped in founding belgian dance label Basic Moves. As person, a down to earth girl whose determination immediately sparkes interests. We’re celebrating something special today as the Hot Series marks its twentieth iteration courtesy of a duo we’ve had on our radar since the inception of the label. Going back to back in time with this one as @maitoooo & @bjeor take charge of the next one in the series, providing us with a recording of their set at La Cabane from a couple of months ago. Both contribute to the Belgian nightlife scene in a multitude of ways, which led them to cross paths at @horstartsandmusicfestival where the pair quickly saw eye to eye and formed a connection on & off the decks.

As you would expect from these two, their shared love for house music fully comes to fruition in this masterfully curated mix with each contributing his own intricate layers to create a beautiful tale of emotion and sound. A warm up set is always tricky to do well, but Max & Toon demonstrate their mastery and prove why they love to play warm up sets, especially the long ones. Over a floaty three and a half hour journey, the duo ascend to 125bpm, maintaining a deep and steady orbit that perfectly set the tone for the night’s stellar festivities. Both can be seen traversing Belgium’s festival landscape this summer. Among other party spots, you’ll catch Maito at @club_affair and Bjeor at this year’s @paradise-city-festival . See you there ;)
