Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Our first interview with this fine band – and we always make a point with each year’s New Horizons interview series to start some new band stories for listeners. A nice interview, serious but relaxed, Luke from the band talks about his fondness for Genesis, recording the songs in his garage (without annoying the neighbours) and the making of the band’s third studio album.

Since this interview, the band has been a regular on the Monday show, powered by lots of requests. Without doubt, Unquiet Nights are ones to watch for 2024.

Kidd Kidd, known for his razor-sharp flow and gritty storytelling, teams up with the legendary B.G., whose influence on the rap game is undeniable.

Liverpool based duo APRIL MOON met Brighton born Kirzy on the Canary Island while playing music at local bars several years ago and knew that their music styles would be an interesting combination although this is the first time they’ve attempted songwriting together.

Unquiet Nights are a band from Belfast.  Started as a recording project by Luke Mathers and joined by drummer Rodger Firmin and Francesco Piciucchi on bass & keys, they have carved out a unique sound and toured 9 countries.

The band are based between Northern Ireland and Italy, and as well as being featured on major UK radio (BBC Radio 1, Absolute, 6 Music), they have made several national TV appearances in Italy including live in studio on Sky Sports 1. Tracks like "George Best City", "Four Winds" and "Promise of You" have helped contribute to over 3 million streams on platforms such as Spotify & Last.fm.
