This recording is from the final morning of The Labyrinth 2022, Monday October 10, at Hodaigi Campground, Gunma, Japan.

Hiyoshi opened at 9:00 a.m., and then John Elliott followed with a one-hour Imaginary Softwoods live set. Instead of presenting these as two different sets, we are sharing as a single recording to represent the morning as it actually transpired, and as it was intended.

This is for all of you who could not join us last year, and all of you who were still recovering from the night before and didn't make it to the floor in time to catch these beautiful, peaceful hours.

As always from Mindgames, this recording is high-fidelity, high-resolution sound. Please enjoy.

午前9時にHiyoshiがオープニングを飾り、John ElliottがImaginary Softwoodsとして1時間のライブセットを披露したが、この2つのセットを別々に紹介するのではなく、ひとつのセットとして共有することで、意図した通りの素晴らしい朝の流れを感じてもらいたい。

昨年参加できなかった皆さん、参加したにも関わらず、前夜のダメージからの回復が間に合わずにこの美しく平和な時間を体験できなかったみなさんも是非。

Nems-B (@nemsb) returns with a new mix for In Machines We Trust, and it’s a welcome one. We first connected years ago through Silent Season, when he contributed the beautifully drifting Campfire Stories 43 – Capsule in Orbit to Gliese 581. Since then, he’s been quietly building a strong body of work, with releases on labels like Phonons, On Board Music, Oslated, and Goldmin.

His sound sits in that sweet spot between deep listening and forward motion, dubby, atmospheric, and full of nuance. This new mix feels like a continuation of that world: textured and immersive, like stumbling on forgotten machines deep in the forest, still pulsing with signal.

A pleasure to reconnect. Let this one unfold.

The heat waves have subsided to a degree, breezes sweep the green trees throughout Brooklyn. After a break, I’m happy to be out walking again, street by street, watching life unfold in the warm New York summer. Wanderwelle are a duo from Amsterdam who have been making waves with exquisitely executed releases on the dub-drenched Silent Season imprint. Their music is imbued with an enchanted sense of narrative, traveling to the farthest outposts imaginable with no intention to return. Through a slew of tastefully selected mixes they have also exhibited a sublime ear for DJing, such that we found it no less than necessary to ask them for a contribution to UNRUSH. So take a large dose of vast, empty space, and meditate on this mix from the one and only Wanderwelle.
