Obtane/QuitQuiteQuick is a techno artist from the italian west-coast, owner of Zooloft, a techno label devoted to conceptualism and abstract form.
When his ears began to capture audio signals, he starts to listen and love disco, funk, soul, fusion and Chicago house, while he was discovering the more experimental and obscure side of electronic music like EBM, minimal wave and IDM. Then the start of djing, in 1994, playing dub-techno like Basic Channel and Chain Reaction, us and swedish techno (first of all Robert Hood, Jeff Mills, Cari Lekebusch, Adam Beyer and Thomas Krome) and dark electro (from Drexciya, Mr. Velcro Fastener, Underground Resistance to the italian pioneers of the Finalfrontier distribution), hunting vinyls in several shops like Mandragora Dischi (little but epic shop based in Brescia, IT) and Optimal Schallplatten (Munich, D). At the end of 2006, after about 10 years of djing, he starts the producer side, as co-founder of Equilibria Records, an electronic dance music label of the west-coast that started to follow the european standards and feelings. He had his official debut as producer on the label itself with the “Cosmic Crossdresser” release, that featured 2 reinterpretations of the canadians Tractile, getting a positive feedback from the german magazine De:Bug and support from the guys of Clink, the swedish Staffan Linzatti and others. In January 2008, he runs his own label Zooloft. With his new label project he got positive feedbacks from people like Marc Ashken, Staffan Linzatti, Arnaud Le Texier. Frankie, Mossa, Matt Tolfrey, Todd Sines, Andre Crom, getting also a support of the first release by Magda and Troy Pierce. In the early 2008 he joins the well-known label Synewave with a debut release supported by Ellen Allien, Len Faki, Sian, Inaqui Marin and Jaumetic. After the summer of the same year, he released his first LP "Stuck on an artificial reality", a collection of 12 weird tracks, from cinematic electronics to loopy techno, inspired by horror b-movies, bdsm comics, odd sculptures and by the strangest things of the Earth.

Bio:
Mas is an audiovisual project recently formed by two members of the lpc collective label. They like to develop through their music and photographies a cold, minimalist and dark landscape.
Their work is inspired by artists from different horizons, such as : Delia Derbyshire for her contribution to concrete and electronic music during the 60’s, Le Corbusier for his minimalist vision of things and David Lynch for his particular and immersive aesthetic. The two parisian producers also give interest to the industrial music of Samuel Kerridge, for exemple. For this podcast, the duo tried to put all these influences together, for a slow travel to cold Autumn.

Ntogn is a techno project developed by Hypnus Records' founder Michel (b. 1988, Sweden) since early 2013. It aims to weave together modern sound design techniques with a fascination for dragons, shamanism and the occult. This has resulted in what Resident Advisor's William Lynch describes as "fierce, artistic techno that sounds like little else out there" and a discography ranging from hard repetitive deep techno to dark, throbbing ambient excursions.

As a DJ-performer, meticulous care is given to harmony and progression in order to create a comprehensive and captivating journey through melodic ambience to harsher hypnotic techno currents. Over the last few years, this has earned Ntogn the recognition not only as a respected label manager and eccentric producer, but also as an inspiring DJ appearing in several prominent clubs around the world such as Khidi (Tbilisi) and Elysia (Basel).

His most recent 12-inch record Sathurnus: I (2017) caught a notable 4/5 review on Resident Advisor and scattered projects over the previous years include a collaboration with fellow Hypnus adepts Luigi Tozzi and Feral, remix duty on Retina.IT's vinyl EP Octagon and a VA appearance alongside the Swedish techno phenomenon Shxcxchcxsh.

고운 선율로 시작해 거칠고 최면을 거는 듯한 음악으로. 이 흐름 속에서 디제이는 음악의 조화와 진화에 대한 섬세한 이해를 바탕으로 관객을 매료시킨다. 몇 년에 걸쳐 Ntogn 은 유능한 레이블 매니저, 개성 있는 프로듀서 였을 뿐 아니라, Khidi (Tbilisi), Elysia (Basel) 등 세계적으로 저명한 클럽에서 플레이하며 영향력 있는 DJ 로도 인정받고 있다.

Jongmin Lee [Oslated] : I think your music and Hypnus records albums are very oriental.
Are you interested in oriental philosophy?

Michel [Ntogn, Hypnus Records] : I used to read some books about oriental philosophy a few years ago.
Especially taoism but of course also quite a bit about hinduism, buddhism, zen, some Tibetan doctrines and other westernized interpretations of it all like Alan Watts and Eckhart Tolle.
Regarding oriental influences on Hypnus I think Feral and Primal Code has been somewhat inspired by Asian culture, nature and thinking.

Jongmin Lee [Oslated] : 당신의 음악과 Hypnus Records 의 앨범들에서 “동양적이다” 라는 느낌을 많이 받았다. 혹시 동양철학에 관심이 있는지 궁금하다.

Michel [Ntogn, Hypnus Records] : 몇 년전부터 동양철학에 관한 책들을 좀 읽곤 했다. 주로 도교 관련 서적들을 읽었는데, 힌두교, 불교, 선 (일본식 불교), 티벳 종교 그리고 서양적 해석이 가미된 Alan Watts 나 Eckhart Tolle 같은 것도 읽어 보았다.
Hypnus Records 가 동양적 성격을 띄는 부분은 Feral 과 Primal Code 가 동양 문화, 자연 및 사상에서 다소 영향을 받았다고 생각한다.

Divina Mundi: Tales of a dream and an acoustic reconstruction

When I enter the forbidden world, I'm frozen. I don't move, I look around. Everything seems strange to me and everything is completely different from what I am used to. I have no idea what's happening to me right now and I feel scared. This place is bursting with life and the creatures don't look like normal animals, but are much more airy and abstract. Every time I try to look at them, they disappear again, which makes it difficult to make an accurate observation. They make noises, which sound very harmonious and oscillating and have a mystical effect. The atmosphere in this place is completely filled with these benevolent sounds without being perceived as disturbing. I realize that this world is and has always been in perfect balance. In this pre- or post-human reality there is nothing that can disturb this tender and sensitive harmony. This thought is disturbing, because I know that a wrong action on my part would disturb this balance and endanger this utopian system. So I stay calm and observe everything without moving. Every object in this world is in motion and everything seems to revolve around a center point, which is too abstract to be recognized by me as such. Entropy is not present in this world. There is no intrinsic quest for disorder, because everything is perfect.

With a new LP slated for Osiris Music, he takes a welcome turn into more impalpable realms, focusing his sound increasingly on dubbed-out atmospheres. Submerged in both Djing and production, Fabrizio Lapiana started his career as a Dj back in 1994, influenced mainly by the early 90's sound of Rome and Detroit as well by the first european pioneers of electronic music.
In his DJ sets, Fabrizio makes a precise and intimate techno flow that seduces the dancefloor mixing new and old vinyls range from deep, intricate techno, through an acid and groovy darkness with some melodic gems along the way. 
With his label “Attic Music”, founded in 2008, Fabrizio grow up his sound combining deep aesthetics and techno grooves often allowing ambient or industrial elements. To remember also the strong collaboration with Max_M on his M_Rec 10'' series in 2014, that showed his most emotional view of techno.
His performances in Rome as well in some of the finest wordwide clubs are a way to offer his right vibrations in the techno scene in the last years: the energy created by Fabrizio's sets worth living!

Hi! We are back again with the 5th season.

Redwan who has been a resident in Madrid since 2011, has worked closely with several media as Geometrika FM, Abysmal, Forward, XXXO, Giradiscos, Electromagnética Radio and Clubbingspain. He is currently a member of Trauma, the collective which has brought to Madrid some of the best talents of the most risky techno.

Let me tell you about Redwan. As for Redwan, his influences come from Detroit (UR) to Berlin (Basic Channel, Tresor), through Birmingham, but always with the spotlight on the new mutations that techno offers. A really nice technique in the mix that in his own words, "the only premise has been to select some techno at a very low BPM, showing how it can be so mental and deep, and making body and mind dance together."

Aimée Portioli also known as Grand River, is a Dutch-Italian composer, musician, producer based in Berlin. 

While mainly connected to the fields of electronic music and sound design, her compositions transcend these genres. Her background counts years of traditional music composing and the study of several musical instruments. 

She worked as sound engineer and composer for a national radio station in Italy (Radio 24) and for several post production companies through her sound agency TapTempo studio. Her work is known equally for her film scores as for her experimental and ambient projects. Influenced by classical minimal music Grand River’s work integrates a large variety of sound structures and symphonic calculations, often blurring the lines between traditional composition and research-based modernism. 

In 2016 she created One Instrument releasing sound experiments from different artists composing pieces by using only one instrument of their choice.

After last years critically acclaimed ‘The Realm EP’, Xhin returns to Token with new savagery.

‘Projection’ sets the mood perfectly with its dark throbbing sound textures, while the real storm gathers during the title track, which showcases fierce percussion and a mean low end. When Xhin unleashes his demons in the brutal ‘Hunters’, the earth shakes under the heavy artillery of spiky, menacing drums. ‘A Different Angle’ is the soundtrack to the aftermath and guides us back to safer grounds accompanied by dark layers of dense atmospherics.

This EP sucks you right in and before you know it, you find yourself trapped in this ‘Dark Tiled Landscape’. Welcome back Xhin.
