A year of discoveries. Thinking back through the last year, there has been a plethora of fantastic labels, and artists that have passed under the Sundays banner. This Sunday and month in general also marks the second year of monthly playlists, and guest mixes. The latter of which is our focus for today as we welcome an incredible producer, Inhmost. From beat to beat-less, his refined approach to crafting ambient mixes provides listeners with auditory tales that flow so well, all while working in a variety of moods and feelings. This mix provides in spades, as such we’re incredibly happy to soundtrack this Sunday morning with Inhmost.

There are many different ways that the biosphere affects climate. Some produce greenhouse gases and promote warming of our planet through the greenhouse effect, while others reduce the amount of greenhouse gases promoting cooling of our planet. Thereby, by trapping heat, greenhouse gases contribute to our planet's warming and the biosphere provides the necessary environmental conditions for survival. And of course, Biosphere is the moniker of one Geir Janssen, who has been a constant influence on ambient music throughout his career. MNMT Mix: Araceae – Lunae Semita

Hello dear friends. Today, let's welcome Saphileaum for the 21th episode of the Stellar Series.

Born in Tbilisi, Georgia. The project was influenced by the pulsating local techno scene and strongly inspired by foreign artists like Anthony Linell / Abdulla Rashim, Acronym & Luigi Tozzi. He found his own style in deep and atmospheric techno, intepreting this in a more consciousness-expanding way while combining a variety of ambient and hypnotic soundscapes. Constantly pushing new releases on labels like NORITE, Controlled Violence and Lett Records, Saphileaum has also played alongside techno veterans like In Aeternam Vale and Stanislav Tolkachev in the past.

Here, Saphileaum provides a list of ambient, tribal and rhythmic  hypnotic soundscapes. Dive deep into the realms of esoteric and theosophical forest with the man who "sees people as they are and not as they pretend to be".

Stellar Series Episode 21 - Saphileaum (Journey To The Temple Of Dedication)

If there was ever a timeless form of music, one could argue it is dub techno. From his drifting, weightless chords to the sheets of melancholic atmosphere he crafts, Fingers in the Noise has proven himself to be a true purveyor of this sound. As profound as any basic channel record, his albums create an expansive space within which the listener can truly exist. Since 2009 he has been churning out the highest quality dub techno and ambient music on his own Fitn Personal Records imprint as well as many others, so it was only natural that we ask him to cook up something special for UNRUSH. Christian Samsara is a Danish-born DJ and record collector.
His journey into electronic music began back in his early teenagehood and after a few years, he discovered the electronic ambient genre which grew into his big passion and later on, lead him behind the decks.
Since the beginning of his DJ carreer, he performed at a great number of festivals and events accross the world and of course in his homeland, Denmark.
Inspired by the nature and isolated places, his mixes are often a selection of ambient / downtempo / IDM music with deep cinematic soundscapes and layers of organic textures.
He joins Ultimae Records in 2015 and is currently selecting works for an upcoming compilation release.

@segueambient is the name used by Jordan Sauer, an electronic music producer from Vancouver, BC. He creates ambient and dub-techno music with layers of field recordings, acoustic and electronic sounds, creating sonic soundscapes that conjure images of nature and emotions of peace and introspection. He has released numerous solo albums and collaborations with artists from around the world, including three LPs on the Silent Season record label. A high point of his career was the 2013 release of the dub-techno album Pacifica and the following performance at Mutek the following year, captured here in this live recording. In 2020, Jordan was commissioned by Canada’s Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre to produce Gene Machines - an album based on field recordings and atmospheric sounds from one of the most advanced genetic research labs in Canada.

Presented as part of STREAM ON, a project by MUTEK, with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.

Through our record label, podcasts, interviews, and event series we focus on presenting a diverse array of alluring ambient music. With each guest contribution we search for a serene space within the mind that is free from the encumbering stresses of daily life. Our events will act as a platform for distinguished artists and take place in stunning cultural surroundings both in the city and in nature, taking a step away from the pounding hedonism of the club to showcase the other side of electronic music.
