I'm happy to share that I will be releasing an album of ambient music in the fall of 2019. I realized, after beginning "This Part of You" that it didn't fit the same vibe as the other songs on the album, but I wanted to continue it anyway.

From the sunshine soaked hills of Newbury Park, California where this release was carefully crafted comes a label favourite, Aso. After making some stunning contributions to our Essentials series over the past years, as well as the highly acclaimed eight track 'Two / Seven' EP, he is back with another beautiful addition to the Chillhop Catalogue. 

With the kind of relaxing, melancholic vibe you would hope to expect, 'Home' is a Fender Rhodes driven ride complimented by beautiful guitar melodies and laid back percussion. Featuring the likes of both Harris Cole and Middle School, we are sure this is set to be the type of release you can come back and relax to, just like the title suggests.

weeping willow - Arnold Kasar but you’re prepping for the end of the world

Volcanoes spewing freshly bloomed flowers. Trees with roots in the clouds. These are the impressions conjured up by our next guest, who is an artist who works as much with imagery as he does sound. Cosmin Nicolae, aka Cosmin TRG, has been churning out sonic excellence for more than a decade. With a recent album on the illustrious Opal Tapes, as well as another one on his own Fizic imprint, he has executed his ambient foray with great success. Remaining aware of how society tends to break everything down for its own uses, he moves forward with an awareness of ambient's originally sacred place in the lives of those who have helped culminate it.  This awareness, combined with his nuanced production, made him a ripe pick for our podcast series. So open the window and create some new neural pathways with this splendid spring edition of UNRUSH...

"Zen Baboon are Daniel Rosado and Henrique Palhavã. Both were born in the '70s in Portugal and since an early age kept a close connection with the musical world, focusing on great sound quality and original construction.
Daniel is a sound engineer that worked in a studio in Lisbon and started producing electronic music in the late 90′s.  Henrique, a zoologist, lives and works in his own farm and started as an ambient DJ, (DJ Henriq) and producer in 2001.
They got together in 2003 and decided to melt their musical preferences and create Zen Baboon.
