This is a special mix by REGIS recorded at Kuboraum during the fourth episode of our "Atonal Off" event series.

It was our honor to host & share this event last August 2018 with a special crowd that came to celebrate this unique moment for the underground music scene: the 25th year of the legendary Downwards Records.

The well visited off jam session was a very notable and intimate birthday celebration and this set is delivering the exact atmosphere and vibe that was experienced during this evening.

Downwards is a record label founded in Birmingham, England in 1993 by Regis and Female, it has a fundamental and influential impact on the electronic music and techno panorama we know today since its beginning. 

Thanks to Regis, Layne, Jim Ningus and Justin Anastasi for their incredible music and the beautiful vibe they created.

Kaelan's first approach to music took place at the age of 11 years when he started to study piano, and shortly after, thanks to his great devotion and deep passion for everything concerning music, he was involved in different local bands.
Subsequently, his love for electronic music started to blossom, thanks to great artists such as Basic Channel, Robert Hood, Substance et Vainqueur, Derrick May, Jeff Mills and many others.
During the last few years, his necessity to propose a multifaceted vision of electronic music, made it necessary to create new projects, such as “Kaelan”, which became his main alias for techno. Under his side project “2030” he propose electro inspired music, while “Ixm” is his pseudo for dub techno music.
He is owner of Subosc and co-owner of Ranges label projects. The former aims to propose modern and classy techno music, while the latter is a tribute to reminiscent dub techno sounds.

Part-time selector, part-time meme creator, and full-time Psychotherapist, Vincent Neumann has one of the most refreshing and honest voices in the dance music community today. Born and raised in Leipzig, he honed his skills as a resident at Distillery, earning himself a reputation as a renowned DJ with his sharp ear for underappreciated cuts. Since his humble beginnings, he has become a regular at Berghain and created one of the most followed techno meme accounts, technothegathering, where he uses his humor and knowledge of magic cards to socially critique and mirror the happenings of the underground music scene. His sets are equally critical in that they exemplify a taste that does not follow any trends, but rather a genuine spirit focused on music for music's sake. We are thrilled to bring you an exceptional two-hour mix from this special character, featuring everything from Octo Octa to Tool.
