Somewhere lurking under the last leaves on the ground, squirming and squelching with the mycelium and microorganisms, we find Timnahs sonic world tucked away in a sacred place. Taking inspiration from the natural world, she has solidified a name for herself as a purveyor of psychedelic rhythms and carefully curated cacophonies. As a resident at the renowned Elysia club in Basel, she has honed her skills further and expanded her sound into ambient and experimental territories. 

This edition of Unrush is a testament to Timnah's ear for the uncanny and sense for crafting a dynamic narrative. Solemn drones guide us like a soft breeze into the winter months, only interrupted by washes of organic textures and subtle electronics. DSS 090 comes from the skillful hands of Noah Lyas, an artist passionate about making refined ceramics and composing deep atmospheric rhythms.

Growing up up in a house where music was the dominating factor. With two passionate parents who shared a large record collection with their children and with a father as a musician, early contact with different instruments was made as well as performing arts.

Later in life, around the age of twenty, after many dances in night clubs with friends, Noah started to make music focussing on soft percussive rhythms and lush atmospheres, finding inspiration in different kinds of music and sometimes even movies.

Introspective Electronics w/ Avsluta x Netil Radio | Feb 25

This mix has been brewing in my head for a while now.. An inkling of it first started to pop up back in October while we were at our biannual Delayed gathering in the mountains of upstate New York. I played a set with a dear friend on the Sunday morning there - cozy & hopeful music from various corners of our collections that don't get played very often but are set aside for special moments. My favorite kind of music.. It was one of the most memorable sets I've played & brought up a ton of emotions & memories from past experiences hearing some of those songs. Memories from my wedding, memories of my brother, memories from times living in Los Angeles when Sundays were all about lounging around all day in the sunshine after nights of dancing into the early hours of the morning. We laughed, cried, danced, ate lunch, all over the course of the morning into the early afternoon. It laid the foundation for how I wanted to approach this mix for Zach.

Sundays for me have always been a day of healing - mentally, physically, emotionally. It's a day to seek inner peace & a day to be reminded of everything you have to be grateful for in spite of anything else. I recorded this mix on a rainy Saturday earlier this month, channeling all of those memories & feelings, with my dog by my feet while my wife & daughter wandered about the house, making beaded bracelets & doing various arts & crafts.

From me to you, a warm hug & the promise of spring.

For this special edition of the Bloom Loops podcast, we're honoured to welcome Ario — founder and curator of the acclaimed Astral Industries label. As we approach the end of summer, I am delighted to welcome Marius Bø to Deep Mind Music with an ethereal mix of celestial atmospheres to calm the soul ✧｡⋆.

Inspired by recent time spent in the mountains of Norway, the mix takes us high into the stratosphere, where whispers of cirrus clouds melt into the surrounding sky. Gentle blankets of emotive tones morph around us, as we are carried forth into the sacred chambers of the inner mind.

As the mix progresses, delicate arpeggiated spirals bloom across the imagination, and we are held in delicate suspension above the earth, floating, weightless, in quiet introspection. Thank you Marius for this beautiful mix, a space for deep reflection and blissful harmony within.
