Megali Paraskevi is a piece based on a 20 minute field recording of a sound walk at the center of the city of Athens, Greece, from my appartment to a Supermarket at Patission Street. The recording was made on the day of the Orthodox Good Friday (Megali Paraskevi, meaning Great Friday in Greek), on the morning of April 18 2014.
The piece aims to a critical approach towards religion in a consumerist society.

-How meaning is produced and perceived in a world where the speed of informations challenges the speed of our senses? 
-Is it possible for music to mirror the superficial complexity of a global, multicultural, ''neo-baroque'' world without stylizing it? 
-Can the poetic and narrative properties of aural signals be equally combined and perceived? 

These are some of the basic issues that launched the project in a form of a laptop duo.
