MOSHTRQ VA01: Stepping away from the realms of live performance, MOSHTRQ announces their first musical work as a collective, drawn from an extensive unreleased catalogue, and bringing together crew, friends, and collaborators.

Through an exploration largely centred around visions and high tempos, glimpses of leftfield magnetism appear through Postdrone’s warped breakbeats and strained vocal chops.

Yaseen and Dakn reunite for tempo-shifting hybrid-bass, following up Ashrar’s rattling granulated futurism and intricate sound design. Assyouti’s signature rhythmic hyper-club - alongside Galala’s punches of ominous jungle-techno - sit within haunting moments of respite by way of ambient contributions by Ambi and Belahadaf, through subterranean worlds of twisted synthesis and militaristic sampling.

MOSHTRQ VA01 is bookended by two collaborative works of Timo 1_2*, whose efforts and influence extend far beyond the bounds of this project.

Album Story:
The direct sequel to 'Dragon Rising' 'Red River' takes place over a Century around 340 BCE to 232 BCE during the rise of the Mauryan Empire.

Following Siddhartha Gautama's death for over 140 years the region rapidly transitioned from a Dynastic rule to an Empire sprawling with cities, trade, art and education.

The partly fictitious story follows the fabricated assassination of Ashoka by a Blacksmith from the Mauryan Empire whose entire family fell victim to The Kalinga War. The legend says 100,000 people were lost in the war which turned Daya River into a red bloodwater. Regardless of Ashoka's plans to promote peace the aftermath of the war caused a never-ending rage towards the Empire by its own people which eventually led to the downfall of Mauryas.

Kautilya's 'Arthashastra' provide details on the art of statecraft during the Mauryan Empire.

Process Of Making The Album:
'Red River' uses recordings and sounds of Bell 407 a civil utility helicopter as the main body of the record together with a 47-year-old Harmonium, Field Recordings at Chandraketugarh, custom built Woodwind Prototype V3 & V4 together with Guitar, Violin & Vocal Improvisations.

The tracks 'Dragon's Descent' & 'Recycle Accession Succession II' utilize 'Dragon Rising' CD as a plucking/hitting tool similar to a Guitar Pick.
Additionally, recordings of a Hair Trimmer Nova NG 1150 were processed heavily to resemble Mongolian Throat Singing in the track 'Crossing The River'
