Alleviated Records and Clone Distribution are proud to present a special re-issue of Larry Heard's "Alien" album. Larry Heard's productions always hinted at deepest outer space, but Alien was his first actual science-fiction record. Heard's house roots often show themselves, while the chords and shimmering production make this an album almost on par with Heard's influential mid-'80s releases. The project was a recording & sound-development experiment that was mostly constructed around a Korg O1/W workstation keyboard that was left at Larry’s studio to check out by Victor “melodious myles” Houston along with some of the staples of his studio, including the Roland d550 and Oberheim Matrix 1000. First time the complete album will be available on vinyl.

The recording was made from the audience seating area, rather than via the mixing desk, to capture a sense of the church's massive interior and acoustics. At Unsound 2009, Biosphere and Stars of the Lid will perform in the same space.

This is a live recording of Norwegian Noise Orchestra on the anual Oslo-event called Kulturnatt (culture night), where venues and organizers all over the city has happenings on the same night, with a wide variety of cultural events.

NNO played at a small indipendent record shop called Stein Og Jord (http://www.steinogjord.no/), and was arranged by Dans For Voksne (http://www.dansforvoksne.no/).

Kulturnatt was arranged on the 14th of September this year, and NNO set a new record in number of band members, this time on the low end, with only 4 musicians, and therefor also the least noisy and gravely concert so far by the band.
