Balas means bullets. They are 32. They come directly from the Chilean prodigy to you. Tomás Urquieta, the artist now based in NY, after his EPs via Insurgentes, now makes his proper debut in TraTraTrax. We enter into the new year with two pounding, thick and sharp cuts, now a trademark of Tomi's design. Club-ready and deconstructed club (also ready) certified bangs.

This time, the remixes are a little over the top: Rhyw delivers a version that dribbles and wiggles into enriched ballistic percussions. re:ni distils “vaya pues" with ace Grime compatible Breakbeat. Finally, we couldn't wait any longer to bring to the label the summa cum laude speed dembow from Siu Mata and Amor Satyr.

Following up off his early 2022 NHS EP 'Imitation Plantae’, NHS bossman Galtier brings back the weirdo-bass vibe with a panic-stricken selection of 4 tracks spanning a plethora of BPMs; no surprises there. A surprising switch to hardware production however has caused a healthy shift in the general presence of Galtier's tracks. Distinctly churning in mood and flow, Galtier’s third contribution to his own catalog are tunes for the place where the roof drips.

The nauseating melter-tech approach to the array of tracks reek of panic-mode energy; with jarring hooks that contort through the resonant, crispy aether of each piece. The rawness of hardware shines through on each iteration of this new focus for Galtier: a distinct step in the direction of swampy bass music that glistens just right as those raw frequencies should.

With a recent appearance on TraTraTrax's excellent 'no pare, sigue sigue' compilation, DJ SOSA RD returns with a new EP, 'Island Boy With Internet'. The self-released three-tracker varies in speed and style, aiming to channel the rage in a playful and exciting way. On the track 'key-tee-poe', DJ SOSA RD experiments with a push-and-pull style that entices you in with an old school jungle rhythm before dialling down the tempo as a haunting melody comes into view. 

Speaking about the release, DJ SOSA RD says, "breakcore and Jungle seemed like obvious choices for the next sounds I wanted to play with. Intense, physical, playful, built on sampling, clad with bass, and stemming from a long tradition of counter-culture. These sounds melded perfectly with dembow’s aesthetic and spirit, which is present in the samples used in the EP."

We are super happy to announce an important step in the expansion of our sonic vision into other territories in the global south. We have built a bridge between Colombia, Egypt and beyond to present 3Phaz. On this EP called DrumTraTrax, the mysterious Cairo producer embarks on an ambitious, hi-fidelity journey through three futuristic & incisive percussive hitters.

Once again, we have assembled a ridiculous combo of remix artists to complement 3Phaz’s work. Mexico's finest, OMAAR, delivers a revamped version of ´Drum Trax’ with his trademark drums and marches. ‘Slomo Strut’ beckons for Amazondotcom who has pushed the boundaries of avant-garde electronica, while E-Saggila shows herself in pure form with a broken and aggressive techno version. And what can we say about ZULI? totally unclassifiable music.
