East Coast DJ and producer PlayPlay returns to Sorry Records for their second release, ‘Maneuvers’. A cathartic release for PlayPlay, the EP is seeped in emotion, whilst the press release mentions ‘chaotic emotions’ as the catalyst for these tracks, the EP feels euphoric and joyous, including the vibrant two-step influenced ‘Blue’ where the glistening synths envelope you in an embrace of kaleidoscopic colours.

For EYX010 London-based Italian producer Ikävä Pii returns on the label (following their first appearance with ‘EPOS Digitale’ from September 2021) with a new mind-melter EP titled ‘Process Fatigue’, their first release of 2022.

Written “literally” while keeping “Discord and Ableton open at all times” and funnelling “ideas from one channel to the other”, ‘Process Fatigue’ contains four quirky club ready cuts reflecting the intent of the artist in developing new creative processes.

‘Process Fatigue’ is available on all platforms starting from Friday 18th November 2022.

“How do we decide how to decide? Process Fatigue is an involuntary reflection of the shared Sisyphean nature of grassroots organising and artistic creation. It was composed while researching a method and developing a set of tools for both SODAA (the London collective working on a model for a community-operated club) and a new personal creative cycle; Discord and Ableton open at all times, ideas crossing from one channel to another - while also adjusting to chronic tiredness. New protocols spawn new art and ways of sharing it - but avoid fetishising the process, or you’ll get stuck. Just make the tune! Do the party! Mess up! Have fun!”

Kindergarten is a Brooklyn-based record label, rave and radio show. Despite being only a few releases deep on their label journey, they have begun to carved a name in the clubbing scene for rough and rugged tracks.

Since launching at the turn of the year, KINDER004 further cements the label’s growing reputation. Hitting hard with four dark and moody club tracks featuring the likes of Drummy, Despina, Train to Eltanin and Ma Sha Ru, label’s head.

Despina injects jagged percussion and gibbering bassline on 'Entropics. Delving into a distinct sense of disarray, Despina seeks to send any system into a raging form of chaos. Georgia-born C Powers is the second artist to join the fledgling Contagion Discs imprint. 'Which Ad Experience Do You Prefer?' is their first release of 2021 and collects four compound tracks that scratch and bump through breaks, house and garage. C Powers has been making tracks and DJing in the South and around the world for well over a decade, while recent releases have come via labels like Sorry Records and Sweat Equity.

Now based in Portland, C Powers has both refined and expanded their vision of a groove-based, in-your-face electronics over the years. 'Which Ad Experience' consolidates that vision, utilizing a sequence of hard breaks, shuffling 2-step and tight, playful basslines across its four tracks. Dub and psychedelia flit throughout the title track and “FishWash”, while “Tinea” and “Lost Extract” channel martial rhythm into seductive dancefloor anthems.

C Powers uses they/them pronouns. 'Which Ad Experience Do You Prefer?' is out on January 29 via Contagion Discs.
