Techno Sets ❤

Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, has been a strong and distinctive voice in techno since rising to fame through his Stygian Concrete Works and Weapons Grade Manic EPs back in 2014. Since then he has showcased his powerful and menacing, yet often cheeky and playful, productions on influential labels including HAVEN, South London Analogue Material, Perc Trax, MORD, and Mindcut.

He told us what inspired him to record this podcast for us and how his pandemic yea worked out so far:
"The past year has been a very challenging time for the entire international techno scene, but out of this situation a lot of amazing music has been made - this mix is very much a tribute to that. It's mostly made up of new and unreleased music from myself, Haven affiliates, and artists I love that was created after the pandemic hit in March 2020. Usually, when I record a mix I pull together all the vinyls I've recently purchased, hit record, and start mixing - but for this one, I really wanted to showcase the hard work and passion so many producers have put into their music despite clubs being closed. Consider it a preview of what to expect from us all when the world opens up again over the next year or so."

Vienna-born and Berlin-based DLV is not a blank slate in Europe’s techno industry. He defines his music as a realm of sinister peak-time Techno.

A strong focus on productions and his DJ career, made him score an underground hit called “Rave Instructor“. This heavy dance-floor weapon achieved some big support coming from techno royalties such as Amelie Lens, Charlotte De Witte, Regal, and many more.

Besides his longstanding residency at Grelle Forelle, he kept pushing his personal limits. As founder of Acid Techno Techno Club, a Vienna-based label and event series he started working as well behind the scenes and contributing to the techno industry. Soon he became a well-known and respected figure in the Austrian capital’s Techno scene.

The dedication to his work and passion for music, resulted to perform at Red Bull’s Soundclash in Stuttgart back in 2019, followed by shows in Europe's infamous Techno capitals Berlin and Paris. With convincing performances, he could gain international attention for his projects. 

During the current pandemic situations, he focuses on new productions and could score upcoming releases on renowned labels like Klangkünstler's OUTWORLD, Animal Farm Glasgow, and Voxnox Berlin.

This story just started to be written, be prepared for more heavy and acidic-influenced weapons and follow the path of DLV.

Lucinee is a core member of Voxnox Berlin, holds a residency at the renowned Hamburg nightclub PAL and actively shapes the local techno scene with her relentless spirit.

As a producer, she has worked for labels such as Voxnox Records, EXHALE, Union Trance Mission, RAW, Space Trax – just to name a few. With her strong DIY ethos she always delivers high-quality productions with an eclectic, trippy and unpredictable sound.

Don Cue is a Techno DJ and producer based in Stuttgart Germany, who discovered his enthusiasm for electronic music, especially for Techno, at a very young age. 
Paralyzed by the driving sounds and melodies, the hard whipping of the bass and a feeling of infinite freedom while raving and dancing during countless nights in clubs and warehouses, a love for Techno music and DJ-ing quickly developed. For him, Techno is not just a nother developing style of music, no, anyone who is familiar with the scene knows, that it is a way of life, a rite. The musical career started with the production of melodic techno tracks and sets, whereby the style of composing quickly led to the "harder", "darker" side of Techno. Banging kicks, fast driving beats and dark screeching sounds, shape the sound of his sets and tracks on Sound Cloud. The range of the number of BPM is mostly from 130-150. Techno lovers and followers, feel welcome on Don Cue's channel. Stay true to yourselves, enjoy the sets and projects and most importantly, always Rave on!
