I still need to get a copy of Yves's many books but the first ones I want are 'A Propaganda System' and this one because we need to go beyond just the Chomsky-Herman school of thought of media criticism which is the corporate media is the root of all evil when its corporate media, state media, and even so called non-profit/NGO media many that are left-leaning and many funded by Qatar that shapes the left perception that imperialism/regime change in Syria,Venezuela, Nicaragua,Ukriane, and Anti-Russia hysteria the left should support. And as someone who supports Ralph Nader,Dennis Kucinich,Mike gravel, and the Jill Steins of the world and wikileaks its been left-leaning outlets that have sabotaged and smeared them. So we have insincere people,we have a controlled opposition, and very much a bunch of socialist reformers at home but are imperialists abroad. So this is one of the most important books Yves could've done on Canada's left and well done!

Phil Taylor interviews Sid Ryan, who was to be the chair of the Toronto meeting for Dimitri Lascaris' lecture in Toronto. Ryan criticizes the UCC and other organizations which prevented Torontonians from hearing a call for a negotiated peace in Ukraine.

Ryan also decries the sending of endless arms and money to Ukraine, because Ukraine has virtually no chance of winning the war.

Dimitri wants Canadians to consider the large number of Ukrainians that have perished so far in the conflict and the many more who will do so if the war continues. Canadians should be grateful of the chance to hear Dimitri.

For his part, Phil Taylor describes the pro-war position of the Trudeau government as "tunnel vision." It can't seem to consider the view of Lascaris and the peace movement in Canada to change course and seek a negotiated end to the war.
