Slip into my take on minimal.
It’s mostly modern house music, but people tell me it’s minimal techno too. I’ve called it astral:house and sideways house. It’s deep euphoric dance music, psychedelic, soul-stirring and fun. It’s lush minimal for the dance floor.  

Feel where I’m at with the opening record, then space out with an hour of vibration:appreciation, after which I mix some favourite new minimal records with ultra-special digital waves.  I remember moving to wav format way after most of my dj friends, and feeling old fashioned as I carted my vinyl to our Saturday night residency at Elsewhere Bar on the Gold Coast in the 2000s. Now mixing vinyl feels like coming home, as I don’t have to peer at a screen or get my head around a computer in order to make the mix happen.  Most of my online mixes are spontaneous curations made on Traktor using timecode vinyl & aiff files, so turntables have always been my preference. Living in Australia, shipping costs so much, so obtaining new records is a luxury indeed, especially when you have a family’s needs to consider; it feels so good though, and I love them. We live in order to experiment with crafts, and right now, this is where I am and what I do. 

The last track is a Jules David remix of a Timmus piece they called ‘Deflection Perception’. For a long while I was the only one who had it, as time flew by and the fellas kept creating new masterpieces. I dropped it at Revolver eight years ago and sparks flew.  Both Jules and Timmus have released for Motion:Theory:Music, Ben Abrahams, Jules and my electronic music label.  We’ve made parties and held residencies showcasing underground sound for over 20 years, so this label is a manifestation of that energy and we have more pieces from Jules forthcoming, all remixed by world class international artists.  The vibe in this unique piece of music is a glimpse into Jules’ soul, a beautiful peek indeed. The woman sampled speaks in an Australian accent, and talks of “coming home”. She says: ”the euphoria grew the further I walked…”
