The mix is based on forgotten gems from the dollar bins. Cheap, forgotten and eclectic. There is so much music pressed to vinyl that never will be digitalised especially in the electronic music genre. There are so many records who have b-sides, test pressings that you won't even find on youtube or elsewhere. I dedicate this mix to all the lost gems in the back catalogues of the record store. all these records were bought cheaper than $10 and some of them don't even have a name printed or written on them.

Experimental Podcast and event series Zenaari continues to break new ground with this next instalment from Nikolaj Jakobsen (Sugar) and Emil Aastrup’s new alias Flutek. This one’s highly conceptual from start to finish: a collection of in situ recordings from the recent past including test setups from aleatory sessions, tracks that got lost in the never-ending process of tinkering and other bristling frequencies from the misc folder. In sending each other patches for the past few years, they’ve also tweaked them, sent them back and forth, and expanded and reinterpreted them into entirely new sounds. Along the way, they’ve learned from each other and their hardware too, investigating the fringes of these experiments and harvesting what they could in return. Zenaari Mix 011 is the result of this ongoing alliance: shimmering atmospherics, a spray of irregular notes and warped drones that resonate and pioneer a strange new language between man and machine. A left to right hemisphere idiom and bold new direction for this budding collaborative project.

For our 22nd podcast we‘re happy to welcome Session Restore (@sessionrestore) from Hannover. Besides being active as a DJ and producer for over two decades, he’s also running rauh (@rauh) – a label, event and mix series that we can highly recommend to check. In the mix he recorded for us, he‘s blending warm, dubby, sometimes house leaning and groovy tracks with a handful of funky backspins. Perfectly suiting those spring vibes!

Es uno de los fundadores de Matriz, promotora con base en Granada que acaba de cumplir cinco años y por lo que han pasado artistas de gran nivel internacional. En Barcelona es parte del joven proyecto Volta Club, que dará mucho que hablar.
