Christ comes to us and condescends to us and heals us from our infirmities and sins. He can never be defiled by us and by our sin. Conversely, when we come into contact with Christ He transforms us and cleanses us rather than us defiling Him. Let us run to Him!

He cannot be defiled by us

The crowning of thorns would’ve been the most painful experience for Our Lord. A ram caught in thorns was offered instead of Abraham's son and so too Christ was offered as a Sacrifice instead of us. We know Christ needed to die for us but why did he go through all this pain? Be sure to tune in to Fr Mark's incredible Good Friday talk.
