O Coptic bride of the Savior
and light of the land of Egypt,
with a burning passion in my heart,
I yearn for you, O Orthodox one!

Beautiful is the mother of the martyrs! 
Honored is the mother of the noble(s)!
Crossing the sea of suffering, 
by her blood, she kept the faith true. 

O Mother, your love gave me life! 
Your pain is the seed of my faith!
Passing through the most bitter of times,
from them, you emerged victorious! 

Enemies have beaten and banished you,
they imprisoned you and slaughtered you,
