What happens when a church forgets its mission? When comfort replaces compassion?  On the Feast of the Apostles, we remember what the Church was always meant to be—a life-saving station, not a social club. In this powerful sermon, Fr. Elijah shares the gripping parable of a small hut on a stormy coast, built to rescue the drowning. Over time, the mission faded. The Church risks the same fate when we forget why we were sent.
Are we still the body of Christ? Are we still aboard the ship He built to save souls? Then we must live it—by launching the boat, by ministering to the shipwrecked, and by making every liturgy, every home, every conversation a divine rescue.
This isn’t just a talk. It’s a call to recover the mission of the Apostles.
