Swedish band Upptaget is releasing their own take on Show Me What Love Is, originally performed by Erik Segerstedt in Melodifestivalen 2025. Seeing untapped potential in the song, Upptaget has reimagined it with their signature blend of melodic metal and modern pop influences.

“I heard the song and immediately thought it would be perfect as an ’80s-style power ballad,” says Tove. “We wanted to amplify the energy and showcase the song’s true potential.”

Addictive Personality – a raw and intense portrayal of the destructive patterns that come with living with addiction. The song explores the constant chase for “more” – whether it’s substances, shopping, work, or unhealthy habits – and the frustration of never feeling satisfied.

"This song was born out of pure frustration. I realized that no matter what I do, it always spirals out of control. I’ve never found that balance. I keep replacing one addiction with another, and in the end, I just asked myself – is this how it’s supposed to be? What the hell is wrong with me?!"
