The Remixes collection is a full-length re-imagination of "A Color Map of the Sun." Derek Vincent Smith – aka Pretty Lights – invited producers from a wide stylistic spectrum to remix the tracks from his latest album. Derek produced "A Color Map of the Sun" with no intention of having it be an album of dance floor bangers, but rather a collection of music that can be enjoyed anyplace, anytime, all the time.

These 'Remixes' are other artists’ interpretations of his compositions and self made vinyl samples. The tracks are mostly intended to be hard hitting, but they are also just very different. See the track list below for all artists involved in the Pretty Lights’ "A Color Map of the Sun Remixes."

"An eastern sample rages through the sound field, supported by the presence of an extra-terrestrial synth that adds a mysterious tint to the Seven formula. Aggressive growls bring with them an atmosphere that is set to explode as the drop hits, fully packed with chest rattling low-end that defies the laws of chemistry.

"While the percussion is set to minimalism, the combination of the kick and snare move to overpower. The soundscapes swirl and then dissolve during the short break before the second drop hits harder than the first with an instantaneous reaction of pure violence. Four40 Records follow up a superb EP from I Killed Kenny in the form of 'Skanks' from fresh collaborators DECiBEL & Flowdan.

With a positive message and dynamite flow, Flowdan lays rugged vocals for DECiBEL to build a powerhouse track that is bound to send shock waves through many a dance. Not usually the type of beat the MC would usually vocal, this one causes pulses to race with a bounding drum line and a siren-like synth melody that is bound to send ravers crazy. Flowdan growls typically with superb one-liners, adding to the tracks blatant energy and raw rhythm that is sure to prove this one a dangerous weapon in any dance DJ's collection.

ENiGMA Dubz turns the track on its' head for the official remix. Providing a much grimier vibe without losing any of its' energy, this break-ya-neck style dungeon beat is one made for the 'skankers'.
