„Unicorn“ habe ich 2019 im Andenken an Sabrina Gruber (20.01.1985-11.07.2019) komponiert, die ich leider nur ein Jahr kennenlernen, aber umso mehr schätzen und lieben lernen durfte. Da sie eine besondere Liebe für Einhörner hatte, konnte es nur einen Titel für ihr Stück geben.

Sabrina und ich trafen uns im Mai 2018 im Rahmen meiner Hoffnungsklavier-Tournee mit der DKMS (youtu.be/r-y7nlWSyiE) zum ersten Mal. Ein gutes Jahr später verließ sie nach schwerer Krankheit ihren Körper.

Sie lebt weiter in den Herzen so vieler Menschen, die sie mit ihrem zauberhaften Wesen berührt hat.

You can find the original version on this page, recorded while I was in Portugal with only an acoustic guitar and vocals. It took me a long time to figure out what to do with it and I'm very happy with how it turned out. It's still a short, very simple song but I really like it.
