After a little summer break it is about time to reanimate our podcast series and serve you again with some cozy music for your home comforts. With slowly getting into winter mood we’re happy to share with you the perfect soundtrack for snuggling into the most comfy spot on the couch, made by no other than our all-time inspirer Matti aka @mattmosphere, master of chill mixtapes and connaisseur of the unconventional. He presents us an eclectic and soul soothing selection of tunes somewhere between Ambient, Balearic and Vaporwave. Calming genres that combine gentle instrumentation here and there with bird chirping, water dribble, wind noises and fire crackling - music made by lush nature that carries us back to the sunny days. Arising from some beautifully nostalgic reconnections you indeed feel his dedication to the abundance of a lush island, as Matti mentioned the „Schlaraffenland“, the land of milk an honey, a place that allows you to sit back, relax and float. When Maria and Luis, better known as the Portuguese duo @ohxala, get their magic hands on their musical gear, and their unmistakeable rhythms and grooves hit your ears, you can be quite sure your body will get quickly into motion. The colourful and energetic musical signature the couple has developed throughout the past 7 years, carries their never-ending love for making people dance and smile. Their world music infused electronica emerges from all the impressions they collect on their numerous travels, may it be nature, the people they meet or the new tastes they experience. 
For the live set they made for our podcast series and that we are so happy to share with you today, they envisioned a journey through a landscape of mountains, a float through an immensity of nature. It all starts with a short train ride, away from the city noise. Melodies levitate us right onto an imaginary dance floor where drums, shakers and trippy voices invite us to let ourselves go, be ecstatic and dance into a sunrise with orange and blue skies... 
In this mix they combined their latest tracks and remixes, most of them unreleased but we promise they will be out very soon ;) …

We meet with unusual events this year, be it a haze in winter, or more like a late snowfall in spring. We are so happy to host our next mixtape by our dear friend Mattmosphere.

In the past we know Matt for his special sound and way of playing music. Based mainly on ambient and experimental atmospheres. Today he has given us an extraordinary set that represents the sound that is usually directed towards clubs and dancefloors, perhaps as a celebration of having them back after a long wait. Us being big fans of minimal and house, could not feel a better fit.

‘For home use only’ is an anti-club social, a chance to get to know someone/something. A series of transmissions purely dedicated to exploring the other side.

Music is an anchor in life, useable in any if not every scenario to shift or change your current mood. It's something that you have complete control of (unless you’re in someone else’s car), this control, I find is somewhat taken for granted every now and then and I think in this strange time of our lives it's very important to take control of what you can. Speaking of control, it's something our next guest has mastered, A Naarm favourite Bex. 

Hard work, dedication, and a belief in one's self are the holy trinity to the path of evolution, All of these factors Bex has mastered. Through years and years of commitment to her craft, Bex has steeled herself amongst her peers and their dance floors, forever increasing her orbit and her listeners inside of it. Encompassing the pure aesthetics of Dj’ing (an understanding of rhythm and how people react to it), she has cemented herself as a staple DJ all across Naarm as well pushing the same ethos with her own party series “Spincycle” (HOT TIP!!). She’s here to stay and it fills me with confidence for the future. 

The mix itself beautifully encompasses the very thing I’ve set out to explore, the other side. For someone who is consistently filling dance floors, you can tell Bex has done herself justice in reaching into her musical peripherals and wholeheartedly enjoyed doing it. Ecstatic trips into euphoria electronica, A consistent theme explored in its whole, done masterfully. Computer-generated soul at its finest, using BPM as a narrative tool, she takes us on a trip through her own mind, leaving no stone unturned. After countless play-throughs, I still find little details that excite me, her technical skills on full display for the world to see. A perfect summary of Bex herself. Enjoy it every way you can.

We’re extremely happy to welcome producer and musician Florian T M Zeisig into the fold for Theory Therapy 44. 

From the club-adjacent frequencies on Coatcheck to the vibroacoustic therapy of Music for Parents (an album I listen to on a weekly basis), Florian creates conceptual ambient music like few other artists. He’s released music on the likes of Anòmia, Constellation Tatsu, Métron and enmossed, and has a new album out soon with Forest Management called Clips of Perspective which we're very excited to hear more of. 

His Theory Therapy mix is a heady collage of shifting tempos and styles with lots of low end goodness peppered throughout. “I wanted to kinda focus on just having fun in the moment, staying close to the journey.”

Surrounded by lush black pine and damp green grass, that unmistakable smell of nature. And in the background the beat, that beat that the context has transformed into something organic. Influenced by ambient electronics and chromaticism, Guillam (@guillam) pursues depth through the exploration of sound and composition. Soothing soundscapes, unfolding rhythms and organic textures are elements present in his music and dj sets. He is one of the curators on board along with Refracted (@refracted-music) in Paral·lel festival (@parallelfestival).  This is a live recording DJset during the Midline night curated by ABSIS (@absismusic) in Laut (@laut_barcelona) on February 9th.

A sunny July day. You're in an old pine forest by the river. You can hear the rustling of the branches, the crunch of pine cones under your feet, and the engine of a lone motorboat. Walking beside you is the person who unexpectedly agreed to spend three hours getting here on a stuffy commuter train. The subtle aroma of shashlik and a familiar song from the early 2000s drifts over from either the «professor’s» dachas or the abandoned recreation center nearby. Later on, there will be much more: a steep sandy cliff and a gravel-laden barge, chilled white wine and a small white plane in the sky, lots of awkward jokes and refreshing river water. Meet our favourite vinyl duo @sutsche from Hamburg: Axel aka akaak and Martin Moritz. Best friends, longtime diggers, and masters of slowing things down since 2008, they’ve been spinning techno and house maxis at 33 rpm instead of 45.
Each of their sets is a living organism with its own unique soul that takes time to understand before being released into the world. For this podcast, they’ve once again crafted a carefully tailored mix — beautiful, harmonic, and sharp-edged, just like they describe their sound.

Vor allem zwei Königsklassen der elektronischen Musik beherrscht er wie kein anderer --- zum einen ist er einer der besten Warm-Up DJs (hier sei sein Set „Warmup For Marek Hemmann“ erwähnt) und zum anderem ist er ein Virtuose der Ambient-Musik. Seine Ambient-Sets berühren die Seele, sind dann auch gerne mal melancholisch aber doch bleibt immer eine gewisse Zuversicht und Liebe zurück.

Thom vielen Dank, das du dir trotz dieses für dich so schweren 2016, die Zeit genommen hast uns so eine schöne Auszeit von der Realität zu zaubern.

@Mattmosphere and Love Foundation that is a love affair that has been going on for a while. It all started with a romantic weekend in Vienna beginning 2018, sparks were flying and a second weekend getaway was planned together. This time outside and in the slightly smaller mountains of the Netherlands, in Limburg.

After that it was clear that both parties are ready for the next step and a fusion of the @drosssel and Love Foundation family with a 48 hour rave weekend in Mensch Meier in Berlin, was the logical conclusion in summer 2019.

Now we are limited to online dating, but Matt knows how to play that game as well and the set that he recorded for us, hits us right in the heart. Be ready for an hour full of emotions and a special kind of journey that only Matt knows how to take you on. 

We love you Matt and we look already forward to the next gathering in real life together.

Our last release, that was almost 4 months ago saw the first remix for Padre's "Golden Hour Trilogy" EP within Pablo Bolivar's Club Vision of "Roselight". We are tremendously delighted to have the man himself back at it again, delivering a patient and ambient mix, that almost inclusively features an array of music from his labels.
