Laura Glyda is a veteran storyteller and songwriter, illuminating familiar struggles of the heart and soul through song. Her unique and rich guitar playing blends elements of folk, rock, and Americana, and beautifully complements her powerful and personal lyrics. The Chicago native can vocally move from a yell to a yearning in a moment, pulling listeners in with the dynamics of a seasoned singer. 

She has had the privilege of sharing bills with Melissa Etheridge, Colin Hay, Heather Morgan, Amy Fairchild, and The Ballroom Thieves, playing stages across the country. She has also contributed to several of Chicago’s beloved Annual Jeff Buckley Tribute concerts at Uncommon Ground.

Urban Twangʼs quixotic songwriting team of Lead Vocalist Trish Clausen and guitarist Max Twang. Trish and Maxʼs first project was a pop ska band called The Eccentrics (it’s not you, no one has heard of them). Their next band was Price of Passion (no one has heard of either). 

Because of Max’s fascination with bolo ties they redefined themselves by adding an Americana vibe to their music and became Urban Twang. 

With a resumé that boasts opening for nationally touring acts, songs appearing in indie films, and numerous performances for radio and television, Urban Twang is still gathering new fans to enjoy their music.
