Inspired by Art Nouveau, the idea was to make a series that explores the progression and innovation within an existing art form in this case Lofi Beats. 
The Last time we witnessed a renewal within the "Lofi Jazzy Beats" style was about 10 years ago but the sound that we have today is so different that it almost feels like a new genre.
We wanted to highlight and showcase the sound of the years 2020's and celebrate how original and refreshing our current music can be. 
As time passes music constantly and rapidly evolves and no matter which decade you pick for a listen you'll have a different sound even within the same genre.
Our goal with this series was to showcase the new lofi beat trend of our decade and how it's possible to permanently evolve and innovate with music.

Beats Nouveau

And we are officially back from our Summer Break! To hit the new season off, we're starting with the first single from our new series "Beats Nouveau"! Inspired by Art Nouveau, the idea was to make a series that explores the progression and innovation within an existing art form in this case Lofi Beats. 

To start off the new series we have a beautiful track by ddddeeeellllaaa!

Blue was created while remembering the night scene of Tokyo during the artist’s student life. Back then he used to play in a club called “Blue” which was a cool Jazz venue in Minami Aoyama that hosted great live events and parties in the late 90s and early 2000s. This era of the artist’s life is very nostalgic and he translated this feeling through this new track as an homage.

For the next track in our new series “Beats Nouveau” we have “Paradis” by Spanish producer, Kyomi. With this track he’s defying the norms of Sevilla’s music scene and delivers a stunning experimental jazz piece. The listeners are transported to a heavenly realm by the melancholic saxophone and the rich piano sounds. ‘Paradis’ is a creative and unique piece that blends bossa nova rhythms with a progressive structure, creating a captivating and unconventional musical journey. This track showcases the artist’s love and skill for jazz and its variations, a reflection of his devotion to the musical art.

Kyomi - Paradis

Two names that need no introduction, producers Makzo and SYNC.EXE join forces for their latest collaboration "Nuance"! This track is the perfect culmination of both their talents, with SYNC.EXE providing the keys, tasty synth licks, futuristic sound effects and atmospheric pads; and Makzo bringing the laid back drums grooves, hard-hitting fills, percussion bits, synth leads and tasty bass lines. A chill and jazzy, yet powerful track, ‘Nuance’ is an impressive illustration of crisp sound selection and thoughtful expression.

Featuring a gorgeous orchestral style change at the end by Nico Harris, this song is sure to expand the mind of its listeners.

Under the Basmala banner, Hasan -Vs- Goliath's Control Room album is Post-Modern Hip-Hop. It also has JazzHop, Beats, and Jazztronica elements. This came about through his production of instrumental hip-hop or beat art. It has a precise mix of styles. 

Since the late 2000's, Hasan -Vs- Goliath has heavy Hip-Hop influences. While focusing on the art of beat-making (beat art) or instrumental hip-hop. Not confused with Theme music or Beats (sub-genre). Which signifies a producer is selling or licensing one-off tracks. Which he also does for his Urban Sufi Music (SESAC), Ghadaqan Music (BMI) and So Amusing (ASCAP) publishing. 

In the past Hasan -Vs- Goliath has licensed content to muzak esque companies such as Mood Music and RX Music in Canada. Moving into 2023, Hasan -Vs- Goliath built up his current repertoire with a few albums and EPs. "I was working like a bulldozer from the beginning of 2021-2023," he explains. "It was a step up. It improved my engineering skills," added Hasan -Vs- Goliath. This all works well in the jazztronica realm. He also released projects as HA Ya-Ali & Acklan. 

Hasan -Vs- Goliath has weathered many music phases since he deep dove into beats in early 2000's. Hasan -Vs- Goliath has honed his compositions with a new release schedule from 2024 to 2027 (iA). Triclking out the concept-based album series Practice as Hasan -Vs- Goliath. He also makes original music for licensing.
