Here's a funky introduction to the two man band Duoya from Sweden. Butter is their debut release, a three tracks EP containing two songs from the upcoming album and one exclusive. As they are perfecting their debut full length album we thought to introduce the project to you with this super limited 7" vinyl to mark the day.

Duoya is the funky brainchild of Gustav Horneij and Dimitrios Karatzios. The two met through a shared obsession with jazz vinyls and later started jamming, eventually forming Organic Pulse Ensemble together. While the project in time would turn into Gustav's one man venture, their creative chemistry was still there when they decided to start sending recordings and song sketches back and forth during the spring of 2020. Which in turn was the beginning of a new musical journey.

Harboring the creativity of both artists, Dimitri being an illustrator as well as a musician and Gustav being a multi-instrumentalist and a song writer. When they get together only good things happen. Specially while jamming, they express themselves freely and come up with crazy groovy music that everyone loves to vibe on.

In expectation for the amazing upcoming album that is in the works, Butter turned out to be the perfect appetizer to get in the mood and discover this brand new project with the complicity of Urban Waves Records.

‘Favourite Show’ is the second single off Trunky Juno’s forthcoming ‘Good Dog EP’ which is announced today, available for pre-order and released July 2nd on Young Poet. It follows recent single ‘Daddy’s Gone for Cigarettes’ which has been championed by Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1’s Future Artists and The Indie Show, and been playlisted across Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube.

During a successful yet reclusive 2020, Trunky Juno released debut EP ‘Too Many Teeth’, gaining support from Beats 1 (Zane Lowe), Spotify, The Line of Best Fit and DORK amongst others. Anointed a BBC Focus Artist for 2021 and performing at BBC Radio 1’s Virtual Big Weekend, Trunky finished the year signing with London-based tastemaker label Young Poet. 

‘Favourite Show’ will be released 30th April 2021 and the ‘Good Dog EP’ on the 2nd July via Young Poet.
