By the time we got the project ready, Persian Empire wasn't satisfied anymore with Trip Trap (also known as the working-in-progress title BA02) & the project postponed indefinitely.

I'm so happy, to finally share this beautiful piece of music produced & composed by the talented @moose-dawa from Malmö, Sweden. We've been in the talks for this since the summer of 18' and now it's finally here! A EP filled with dreamy vibes & hazy atmosphere. Featuring the Dutch producer Deeb who's on the last track named 'Bluesette'. Moose Dawa actually traveled to the Netherlands to finalize the track with him. For me, i really think all of the tracks compliment each other, to make it a journey, because i have personally changed my mind on what the favorite beat is on this EP many times, i'm really impressed by how he managed to create such a balance & interesting vibe with all beats.  

Moose Dawa: 'The Swap! Everything goes around like a circle. From the records we get our hands on, to the beats we make from sampling the past into the present. We swap ideas, thoughts & vibrations among each other to inspire & hopefully generate a creative energy to feed on. That energy can sometimes come in very spontaneous ways and create small bits & pieces of what you felt at that moment.'

Austrian producer Mr. Käfer reflects on his North African roots with second single “Runaway” from the forthcoming EP “Orientation”. 

One year ago we released “Lost Reflections”, a nine track mini-album by Mr. Käfer and Californian saxophonist Gavin Lord on tape and digital. Since then Mr. Käfer finished his music studies in Salzburg (Austria) and moved to Cologne (Germany) where he did an internship at Melting Pot Music. He has released two solo albums / EPs on Tape Invader and Chillhop Music and a collabo project with Flitz&Suppe and DDob.

With his new EP “Orientation” Mr. Käfer is stepping into new directions. Throughout five songs Mr. Käfer reflects on his North-African roots (he is half Austrian, half Algerian) and adds new sounds, vibes and tempi to his music. To orchestrate his vision Mr. Käfer has assembled a full band consisting of Makkako (guitar), Ruff I (double bass) and Christian Höll (Saxophone). Christian Höll has also co-written and co-produced the EP together with Mr. Käfer.

The visuals for “Orientation” have been created by UK artist Tilly Mint – best known for her artworks for Yazmin Lacey and C.Tappin.

“Orientation” will be available as digital EP and on vinyl LP as split album with Mr. Käfer‘s “Lost Reflections” EP.
