I was born one of these music gifted kids. “Singing before talking, making rhythm before walking” kinda stuff. You know.

When I was nine I learned the “4 chords” on the family’s second hand Höfner copper stringed jazz guitar and the necessary moves I learned from watching their black and white television set.

And I took it the whole way. From garage to the inner capital city club circle topping in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.

My music is Lager Rock.

Lager Rock can be viewed as a kinda Rock n Roll toolbox which style’s was strangely sandwiched in between the Rock n Roll mainstreams of its day.
Lager Rock weld three Rock n Roll mainstreams together: Punk Rock, New Wave and classic electric Guitar Blues Rock.
It emerged in London in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s and spread like a bushfire all over Europe.
Pure condensed energy my friends.

I have and I will all ways play Lager Rock!
Through out my life, besides playing Lager Rock, I’ve been doing a ton of odd jobs from business consulting to flying airplanes. But I have never ever being anything close to selling my guitar and leaving Lager Rock and in that way too Rock n Roll.

But when my life moved into its fifty’s my not so healthy lifestyle caught up with me and in the last six years it seems like Grim Reaper now and then raised his tent in my back garden. You know just to stay close in case.

As I was spending my time mostly negotiating with Mr. Reaper a strange thought came to my mind. 
I have never issued any of my music. 
Oh yes I’ve made demo’s en mas but never ever a single, EP or album. 
Then and there I took a swift decision. Now it’s time!!!!

And here I am ladies and gentlemen. In my early sixties recording and issuing - senior - Lager Rock and of course also with a classic DIY invented title: DIY Senior Lager Rock Streamer.

So what’s the big chromed shining truth here?
1. I’m still alive and well and…
2. Rock n Roll WILL NEVER DIE.

Charles M. Mailer's authentic, partly autobiographical songs are true to life and act in the middle of everydays human coexistence and confusion. Influences of blues, soul, country, jazz, rock and rhythm and blues as well as personal experience of almost 40 years as a musician are unmistakable and form their own creative mix of styles, that Mailer itself calls Blu:Soul or Rhythm Soul.

Some pieces are made in collaboration with the award-winning American writer and poet Blue Freida W. Gantt from South Carolina, who has contributed the lyrics for this.

In April 2012, Charles M. Mailer founded the Sunhill Palace Band during a session at the legendary "Omnibus" Würzburg. The Band is a lineup of top-class live and studio musicians, which is compiled individually to assist in major concerts and events. Thereby a varied menu of own songs  and handpicked " pearls " of the blues history is served. Particular attention comes to the solo skills of the band members , what makes their concerts a special experience .

Mailer‘s authentische, teilweise autobiografische Songs sind mitten aus dem Leben gegriffen und handeln vom alltäglich menschlichen Mit- und Durcheinander. Einflüsse aus Blues, Soul, Country, Jazz, Rock und Rhythm & Blues sowie persönliche Erfahrungen eines fast 40 jährigen Musikerdaseins sind hierbei unüberhörbar und bilden einen eigenen kreativen Stilmix, den Mailer selbst als Blu:Soul oder RhythmSoul bezeichnet.

Einige Stücke sind in Zusammenarbeit mit der preisgekrönten amerikanischen Schriftstellerin und Bluespoetin Freida W. Gantt aus South Carolina entstanden, die hierfür Texte beigesteuert hat.

Im April 2012 gründete Charles M. Mailer während einer Session im legendären „Omnibus“ Würzburg, die Sunhill Palace Band, ein LineUp aus hochkarätigen Live- und Studiomusikern, das zur Unterstützung bei größeren Konzerten und Events jeweils individuell zusammengestellt wird. Hierbei wird den  Zuhörern ein abwechslungs-reiches Menue aus eigenen Stücken und handverlesenen "Perlen" der Blues-Historie bereitet. Die solistischen Fähigkeiten der Bandmitglieder finden dabei besondere Beachtung, was die Konzerte der Formation zu einem besonderen Erlebnis werden lässt.

Signed by a Major (EMI) It's with my very first band Mistral, Album 's "Sexy Beau" And a lot after that 🤣 I'm (nearly) ok with everything i've done, sometime it's not equal. Depends of the production, the band, etc. But if it's there, means I Love it 😉But still, the best is coming ! I'm recording, working on my new LP. Avant cela fait plusieurs albums/singles/ep avec des groupes différents des années 80 à aujourd'hui. Benjamin vient du Rock. Au début des années 80, il est d’abord le leader, guitariste, auteur/compositeur du groupe Mistral (rock tendance énervée, PunK) avec lequel il enregistre deux albums pour des majors. Avec le premier album « Sexy Beau » (Pathé Marconi) et des titres comme « Les Fils de l’acier » et « C’est si facile », il se constitue un public fidèle et tourne avec U2, Talking Heads, Scorpions, INXS, etc. Le single « Unisex »  s’invite dans les Charts et lui ouvre une fenêtre sur l’international. A la fin de Mistral, il a le plaisir de collaborer avec PRINCE, durant trois mois, pour le tournage d’« Under The Cherry Moon ». Une expérience Musicale et Cinématographique ave le Prince de la POP ! C’est à Londres, ensuite, qu’il forme Ménage à Trois (deux hommes et une machine, New Wave) ; Amsterdam, Paris, Nice, partout en Europe.
