AfuriKo – a Japanese portmanteau word combining “Afurika” (アフリカ) and the suffix “Ko” (子) which means “child” – is an African infused jazz duo comprised of percussionist Akiko Horii and pianist/keyboardist Jim Funnell. Like a modern-day griot, they celebrate traditional heritage from around the world through the prism of spellbinding grooves and eccentric harmonies.

Their first two albums – On the Far Side (2014) and Style (2016) – were produced with the support of SACEM (the French Society of Authors, Composers, and Music Publishers). Their new opus Tao (2019), successfully funded on Kickstarter, is a jazz journey from ancestral Africa to NYC, steeped in deep grooves with shades of Funk, Pop, Reggae, Bulgarian, and Enka music.

Propelled into existence when Jim & Akiko’s paths crossed in Paris as a result of following a shared, irrepressible call to Africa, its culture, and its Diaspora, AfuriKo began experimenting in 2010. A playful blending of tones and rhythms came to life, and a unique dialogue between the ancestral stories of the djembe and the modern voice of digital pianos and synthesizers was quickly initiated.

The duo has toured extensively in the UK (London Jazz Festival, Cardiff University Concert Hall, Vortex Jazz Club), Japan (Kanazawa Jazz Street, Asahi Shimbun’s Asacom Hall), France (Sunset Sunside, Le Baiser Salé, Improphile), Germany (JazzLab), Holland (Theater Vrijburcht), Nepal (Kathmandu Jazz Festival, Jazz Upstairs), the United States (Rockwood Music Hall, Beats in Bliss Plaza), South Korea (Jazz Alley), and collaborated with artists such as Hiroshi Fukutomi (Japan), Ory Minie (French Polynesia), Eddie Parker, Chris Batchelor, Rob Luft (United Kingdom), Bill Sims, Jr. (United States), Jade Choi (South Korea), Bruno Wilhelm, Philippe Lopes de Sa, and Chris Hayward (France).

Since 2017, Akiko and Jim have been living in Queens, New York, letting the energy that emanates from the most ethnically diverse part of the world nourish their creative process on a daily basis.

Wake; thoughts cycle, for some it’s a struggle, for others it’s a gift. Movement coerces emotionless states out of their shell; fight it, fight it with all you have. This moment of sentience is a fading torch in an ever dwindling bonfire. Endless nightmares paired with bitter sweet dreams caused by the knowledge of life, you must learn to accept this fact because not everyone will. Ignorance was bliss until the complacent mind cracked, we cannot go on living like this; We cannot. Wake up, stop stammering around in a dreamlike state with glazed eyes telling lies. That feeling inside you is not an instinctive reaction designated towards sustainment; Ignore me, ignore me, whatever you do ignore me. The chest constricts each breath as if it was escaping life. Let go, fall into fear. That feeling is you without distraction realising that there are walls to the collective unconscious mental cage, all you’ve done since conception was bounce to and fro betwixt them. Quickly, bury it deep inside that dark hole designated ‘Uncomfortable’. Everything in this life is a message, coded inside colours, shapes, sounds and even words. No one is going to flick your switch, not while it’s being drained by the weakness inside you; You must succumb to the truth, like salt to a wound. Because you are wounded - and everything that is going to fix you is first going to hurt you.

DJ professional since 1979, has worked in more than 150 of the best clubs of the Three Venezie, England, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.  His decades-long career has found many satisfactions at the professional level.  Graduated in Accounting in 1985, has never exercised this profession, already dedicating 15 years of age to the world of music.  Also in this year is awarded as Best DJ 1985 of Friuli Venezia Giulia (competition from Radio North East).  In 1987 ranks to 2 nd place in the competition launched by the National AID and wins the contest organized by the Regional Network 5 (regional radio station) in collaboration with the Disco Mr. Charlie in Lignano Sabbiadoro.  Also in this year will be contacted by Sea Radio Network (Trieste) to participate in a Tour itinerant in the best local Friuli and Veneto.  Lino Lodi in addition to being a dj, was also one of the most appreciated producers of 90 years.  Producer Groups such as Face the Bass, Pan Position, and Masoko Only Express of Sound, carved his first Disco Mix in 1988 (Koxò Club Band-Paradhouse-).  In 1992 he was rewarded with Stefano Mango (which was also his partner to SMALL STUDIO RECORDING, one of the rooms incision for the most popular dance music at European level), and Paul Martini as the best dance recording producer of that year ( Award launched by Radio Dee Jay and Promotion GIG).  In the same year also becomes Parent for the Three dell'AID Venezie (dj Italian association chaired by Renzo Arbore), who held office until 1998.  In 1994 becomes Artistic Coordinator of the Dance of WEA / Warner Italy, maintaining this position until 1998.  In the next 4 years for the successes Lino Lodi are numerous:  in 1996 the hits he produced are many:  The project Express Of Sound (along with Gianni Coletti and Stefano Mango), begins with "Real Vibration" European success, for 3  weeks to 1 instead of classifications sales in England and fired in no less than 23 countries worldwide, but not stops here: in the same year is producer of the remix of "Laura, non c'è", "Sei grande" Nek, select three compilations (Missing Compilation, Festivalbar Super Battito and Festival Bar Super Battito Vol. 2) that yield in nr. 01 Disc Gold, nr.01 Disc Platinum and nr.01 Disc Gold.  Also in 1996 enters the magazine's sales in Australia and France with the project Pan Position with the song "Jack and all"  In 1997, other successes the remix of "Angeli noi" of Mietta, "Se una regola c'è" Nek and Double Disc Platinum for the compilation Festivalbar Dance.  In this period also continues the profession as dj working in the best premises of Three Venezie.  In 1998, is awarded the prestigious prize "Marcello d'Olivo" in Lignano Sabbiadoro, receiving citizenship extraordinary seaside resort along with GianLuca Pessotto (Juventus player) and Giuseppe Formenton (World Champion Karate).  In his career beyond his passion for music has always been very instinctive,  that in the world record would have started a period of crisis; decide by mutual agreement with his partner Stefano Mango, to divest l 'activities as Lounge incision .  Since 2002, also gained experience as a DJ and record producer decides to tackle a new challenge: the world of broadcasting.  In fact from that becomes Marketing Director of RadioMetr0' since 2006 in addition to this task has become even Artistic Director of the same, becoming one of the promoters of music 70-80 in Italy and Europe.  


Ally Montague's Life The Masked , Ally Montague is a west African aspiring singer, rapper, songwriter and slameur (Poet) born July 21- 1989 in Bamako (Mali). She grew up in a very Music-Addicted family , hence, conducting her to be exposed to various music genres and repertoires at an early age. As she was living in a multigenerational environment, she practically experienced all kinds of music due to the different age groups living inside the family. It ranges from∶ Mandinguo(her ethnic group) Music, African music, French varieties, American Music(Rn'b, Soul, Rap,Jazz, Blues), West Indian, Caribbean, classical music, cartoon and series theme songs. She familiarized with several instruments like accordion and piano in her childhood without learning and playing them. Her best friend and adoptive senior sister could play the piano and led her to discover the French 90's boy band Les Poetiques Lovers which they both adored and learnt the songs together. She found about the 80's and 90's greatest artists through her brothers and sisters who were already teenagers (Marvin Gaye, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, Phill Collins, Boyz II men, Shai, Khaled, Jean J. Goldman, Kassav, Robin S, Mc Hummer, Tupac, Fugees, Destiny's Child , Elton John …). Some of the songs of this decennary that are significant to her are Sexual Healing (Marvin Gaye), song High upon This Love (Dione Warwick ), Billie Jean and Beat it (Michael Jackson), I will always love you and Dance with Somebody (Whitney Houston), Show Me Love (Robin.S), Didi (Cheb Khaled), If I ever fall in love (Shai), True Colors (Phill Collins) Ready or not (Fugees) Survivor (Destiny's Childs)…. During the three months following her birth, it had been told that she used to spend all the day crying, doctors were helpless and she could only stop when her grandmother turns on the radio to find a music station. When her grandmother passed away her cries instinctively stopped. This habit had sometimes been considered as an attitude of bad omen. When she was told the story, she took it with a great frustration. Her grandfather was a trumpeter in the national guard, this had pushed her father in his turn to love and learn how to play musical instruments. He is also a talented dancer. Though Ally Montague's father is not a professional musician, he could play four instruments including∶ the accordion, the Guitar, the trumpet and the flute. As a retired military officer and Great chevalier of the national order, he does not want any of his children to become artists of any kind, particularly Ally Montague whom he thinks has something special. However, Ally Montague has always dreamed to be a singer and she will manage to conquer that dream officiously. Above all the musical horizons and backgrounds that she explored, it is American music that exclusively captured all of her attention and interest since her childhood. Michael Jackson and the Destiny's Childs (Beyonce in particular) constitute the focal points and definite impulse for such orientation. In 1998, her discovery of the Destiny's child will completely reaffirm her indefectible will to be a singer. From then on, she will try many times during her pre-adolescence to adolescence period to form a girl band with her friends in the image of her idols, but she will encounter incessant failures due to the lack of guidance and amateurishness. She is also at ease with songwriting. Ally Montague's junior high years will see the beginning of her introduction to the Malian rap circle. Reputed among her friends to be a talented singer and rapper she will be friend with many rappers(Wo-Star, Kistodem, Buba(Maliba Production) and Thiems) in the hope of permitting her to record songs, but these encounters have never taken the expected way though they all declared to be impressed by her. Ally Montague was a little bit upset over that. Not only the lack of assistance and mentoring played a role in her failures but parental control and pressure were also a huge barrier in her musical development. It led her to try to run away from them during her first high school year. She wanted to leave for the U.S but had no means to do so. She will then resign herself to be studious in high school ahead of obtaining her baccalaureate with distinction, so that she could be offered a scholarship to study in another country far from her parents. She succeeded with distinction but didn't obtain a scholarship. As a result, she stayed home and studied in the language faculty of the university of Bamako. There again, she quickly became popular among her friends because of her particular English accent and musical talent. In her junior year, her best friend convinced her to take part in a TV casting that was intended to find three new hosts for a fresh TV reality show for Africable TV channel . She had been selected with two others among 700 candidates. She followed a preparation training programme for the show, she interviewed a few celebrities but the show never aired. Her participation in such project was just intended to make acquaintances in the entertainment world for her possible future music career. Soon after, in the same year she became friend with two well-known rappers (Mobjack and Raph B) through mutual friends. They are both captured by her skills. The former will try to collaborate with her many times but she didn't accede to his proposals due to his surroundings. The latter, Raph B, will be one of her best friends ever and will play a decisive role by collaborating with her twice (We don't know 2009, and Chaque fois 2010), hence marking her debut. In 2011, she borrowed Victor Diawara's ( Lithuanian Eurovision candidate and Skamp band member) guitar and she started lessons with her friend and guitarist Mamoutou Sacko, she just had the time to acquire the basics before a long and unusual trip that was a hiatus in her instrumental development. During that long trip she had the time to think and depict her musical style maturely. When she came back, she got in touch with Raph B, so that they can move on with their projects. Thus, they will write a new song titled (Une raison de vivre), a single that is yet to be refined and released in the coming days. Since, this single was to be recorded in Maliba Production Studio, it led her to mix frequently with singer, rapper and producer Buba, to whom belongs the recording studio.Though Buba and Ally M knew vaguely each other since 2003, they have never been so close to each other till the year 2012. With that new welcomed friendship begun a series of various collaborations starting with the Malian hit single ( Smocking Magic). Buba said that there are few girls who can sing better than Ally, and that he can help her work on her style and voice. This was like music to her ears, she said she couldn't expect more than this. From then on , she took the the firm resolution to build her musical career more than ever and concretize her dearest dream: to be a singer. A mini album is in the making as proof of this new beginning. Ally Montague's Musical Approach "I do not master any instrument nor do I possess a significant experience, but no one can deny that I don't have the Musical ear, absolutely no one. I am Musical" The Masked Melody Ally .The M's Musical approach is rather particular or even weird if we consider some people's argument. The soul of her music resides in her melodies as she uses to claim. She declared that she has never written the lyrics of a song before finding its melody, nor has she tried to compose a melody on an instrument by experimenting combinations. She does not play any instrument, but she composes mentally and vocally. If a melody doesn't please her , she automatically dismisses the song. "Music is instinctive, if sincerity is not there I can't be there" she said. Her melodies come to life spontaneously and are most of the time redolent of her personal experiences . This in its turn brings an intimate touch in her music . She said that , one may conquer the whole world with good and pleasing melodies even if people don't speak the language he is singing in, they will sing it phonetically. She herself experienced that, as she had been listening American music all along her infancy without speaking English. It may sound unconventional, but she thinks that Spin-off exits in music as it is the case in cinema. Referring to that , she said: The melody of an existing song may actually inspire the melody of a new one, I am not talking about sampling or remixing which are nearly similar to plagiarism, but it is all about its influence and one's perception of it. Then, this is when comes the creation stage. Most of the time this is what happens to me. Melody creation is the key pillar of her music. Voice If there is something that she feels uncomfortable with, it may be her voice. She often complains that her voice sounds like that of a little boy or someone who has always a cold. She attributes this to Michael Jackson's influence on her. In fact, though she likes high notes and can reach them easily most of the time, she is still convinced that a better register is yet to be found. Her voice is a mixture of rage, emotion, nostalgia and energy. Characteristics that combine diverse personalities: Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and her own. Missy Elliott and French female rapper Diam's are her rap gurus. Lyrics When it comes to lyrics, her opinion praises the African conception of Music in general. A Conception that insists on the educational , inspirational and guiding role of music through its lyrics. Referring to her reflection, she states that 80 per cent of a singer's fans are teenagers or young adults, for whom the singer represents a model, an ideal and therefore an inspiration as they are in a farouche identity quest. As a result, the lyrics should spread positive, humane, motivating and comforting values more than anything else that can help them build their desired personality. It should not only be centered on Love, sex, Money etc. but it should reach every aspect of life. Songs can lead people to do good and act positive no matter the circumstances. There should be songs that comfort people in adversity and sorrow, songs that inspire happiness, songs that reflect one's life, songs that tell stories, songs that celebrate and songs that teach people how to act and how to love." Music is a philosophy and a philosopher that humanity needs constantly"Ally. M. Stage Name "I have always loved comics, knights, Greek mythology, super heroes, warriors and mysterious characters. They all have a considerable Impression on my persona" The Masked This Mask is a cowardice and there are several reasons behind it and the name. As her parents don't know that she is a singer, for, they don't accept her to be such Ally. M decided to use a Mask to partially hide her face out of respect for her parents and her future professional career. This name also expresses her passion and the nostalgia that she feels for the cartoon, novel and movie characters of her childhood such as: The Mask, Knights of the Zodiac, Zoro, Fantômas, Carmen San Diego, Arsène Lupin, etc. Ally. M said that The Masked will do things that Ally. M will never do, because this Mask is an excuse, a pretext and particularly a bunker that makes her invulnerable and insensate. With that Mask, she can be whom and what she wants without consideration or remorse. It is ecstasy. About that she said " this Mask is an ingenious accessory that can take you wherever you want, it is magic , it confers you an unlimited power that helps to live, because life in itself is a huge masquerade. Hence, we need the appropriate Mask for each masquerade" This mask is free, lunatic, capricious, egotistic, artificial, mocker, festive, mysterious, etc. epithets are not enough to describe it. Ally Montague Ally. M is rather normal, and very human. She reflects her own personality in real life. She has her own story with her wounds like everybody. She has some characteristics in common with The Masked, but she is thoughtful and wiser than The Masked. Though vindictive, and impulsive, she is religious and concerned about human existence. She is frequently battling against her personal demons, and questioning existence. Music is a remedy and refuge for her. She is absolutely studious, positive and endowed with an indomitable will to win. Record Label Though a member of Maliba Production studio , The Masked A.M , is unsigned and is currently looking for a record label. Maliba is a recording studio not a record label. Since she is convinced that her music career and style won't break through in her country, she is looking for a foreign label. But it does not mean that she is inclined to get involved in everything blindly according to her. A superstar is in the making.

Since 2002, the founders George The Fuck
and Robert Paulsen gave birth to the band with the sole purpose of having fun, doing chaos and playing a bit 'old punk.
After sudden changes of line up in a few months,
they arrive to "historic" lineup, that will remain unchanged for 10 years and that will add two key elements:
King Svizzero on vocals and lead guitar and
Charly Rock on drums.
31 October 2012 Charly Rock sounds for the last time with the Rat mousquè, while remaining a close friend of the band;
Gives way to Vik Fecalbreath, too old friend; Vik has a more technical coming from the world of heavy metal, very different from the rhythms of Charly instinctive but is very effective and well amalgamable with the style of the group.

From the beginning Ratmousquè make the bones playing virtually anywhere between festivals, pubs, bars, contests, events, festivals, clubs ...
proposing tribute to their idols (Misfits, Rancid, Ramones, The Clash, Nofx and Nirvana).
Then, they reached musical maturity and the understanding of the group and starting to write several original songs.
After recording several demos, it's time for the first disk,
12 tracks are selected for self produced and self recorded album:
"As Much Fresh Mushrooms As Much As You Want!" (2010).
The band in fact promotes the "Do It Your Self" spirit just like the HC-Punkers in the early 80s.
Some singles of the album appear on various  Italian and European compilations.

The kind, with time has undergone significant mutations before consolidation,
oscillating between Horrorpunk, Stoner, and Hardcore, but also working their way through other influences such as Ska, Rockabilly or Rock 'n Roll;
this mixture out oddly very compact and not at all dissonant.

The make-up zombie style used at the concerts,
is born the first time for a live halloween night, as a tribute to their inspirational band the Misfits.
From there never abandoned, the group has continued to perpetuate this rite to all the concerts, a bit of originality, but also because this allows them to be detached from reality and from the simple figure of musicians,
to become so in the abstract figures, almost comic, and with the intent to shock, provoke and intrigue the audience.
By the time the trick is getting heavier and horror,
by using plenty of fake blood and disguises ad hoc
that become an integral part of the unique atmosphere that reigns at the concerts of the Rat mousque!

During 2013 the band was in the prestigious competition for emerging bands Rock Targato Italy, going to win in Milan in the final held at the historic "Legend Club."
The victory had a remarkable echo especially in brands,
Tg also regional dedicating their service.
The band also composed the new album "The Reject", that for the KS Record (independent label and recording studio of King Svizzero),  a self-production.
The new 15-track album is a concept, an artwork of comics mold;
is the story of love, hate and the transformation of a boy marginalized in pure evil by the cynic society.

Afrosoul_Monk embarked on the development of his own record label Anthology Sessions in 2010.With strong ambitions and his love for music being the driving force,he has plans for the label to be if not one of world’s most reputable soulful/afro and deep house music labels.Anthology Sessions plans to  become synonymous with the best up-coming Deep House produced in south africa without leaving out the fact that it is an independent label.

3IsOne is a collaboration between versatile singers - authors - composers from
the Netherlands, Italy and France that have strong desire to share their ideas,
express their emotions and talk directly to your heart.
Their music is a blend of Rock, Blues, Folk, Electro, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Reggae, Funk.
Their songs are about society, love, relationships between people but also darker
subjects like depression and death.
They are currently working on their first album “ Les Étiquettes” (The labels).
The title reflects the fact that we can’t always put a label on everything as it is
impossible for 3isOne to belong to only one musical category.
The album release is planned at the end of 2014. Their first single “Closer to irreversible”
will be released on the 28th of February 2014.

FRANCESCA LANERI
Author, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, she has a captivating and
powerful voice. She gained experience in ten years of attendance of the different European
musical environments from London to Barcelona via Amsterdam. She is also band leader of
Sunset Limited, a musical experimentation from Italy. She’s influenced by Rock, Electro, Jazz
from the 40’ to th 70’s with voice, sax or trumpet as main soloists, classical bassist J.S Bach
because of the way he never rushes anything but lets things just happen naturally.
Whatever music she finds perfect and not improvable influences her.

SIMONE VAN ALPHEN
Aka “Moon Danoon” is a singer, songwriter and guitar player who loves Folk, Jazz,
Progressive Rock and Metal.
Her sweet folk voice fits the little melodies she composes with her acoustic guitars
perfectly.
Moon’s voice invites you to travel far away in a world of magic and wisdom.

TOFF CRAZY MONK
Has been an instinctive drummer for more than 20 years. From Blues to Progressive
Rock, Jazz to World music, Reggae to Funk, he learned to support the music by adapting
the rhythm to what’s happening around him more that following a predefined
schema. He was also beat-maker in France in the crew “La Plank” making music for
artists like Sniper, Nubi, Treyz l’Affreux and the jamaïcan singer “Lexxus”.
He was Franck Carducci’s drummer during the Oddity tour. After collaborating in
different projects, he decided that it was time for him to be in front of the public and
share the dream with each of the listeners of 3IsOne by composing, making
arrangements, singing, playing guitar, keyboard and of course drumming.

ROY VAN OOST
Is the voodoo child of 3IsOne who plays electric, acoustic, 12 strings and steel guitars
but also flute. He is a composer, singer and arranger multi-styles and provides
essential colors to each project in which he participates. Roy plays in several formations
and also with Franck Carducci.

LENNART VAN DEN BERG
