El veinticuatro de febrero empezó la guerra.

Taras Vordianko (1895-1982) emigrated from --------- to -------- in 1917. He farmed the fertile soil of the -------- Valley until 1926 when opportunity for other work became available in the city of --------- where he met and married Olga Vordianko (nee --------).  In 1944 after return from the war, he opened a small radio and electronics repair shop, which eventually was taken over by his 2 daughters and became the well known -------- franchise which operated until 1975. As anyone who knew him would tell you, Taras was rarely seen without his dark blue notebook while at the lake, attending a concert, or walking the streets of --------.  Those he shared the pages with recall his wonderful pencil sketches, bits of poetry and everyday observations of his environment and its people. After his death, the location of the book remained unknown until located 40 years later in the half-buried remains of a horse drawn milk truck along the sandy shores of Lake --------. Unfortunately, time and the elements played havoc with the paper, leaving only fragments legible. This track is a reading of what remained, pieced together as best seen to fit, with the missing drawings, words and pages replaced by music and soundscapes.

Mr. Vordianko's Notebook

This one speaks for itself really. I wrote this from a probable viewpoint of many cityzens, but in fact I love the beat and hum and pulse of the city. Of course, driving out into the country for a while, there is a bounce out to the greater space that brings a new perspective on things that were more worrisome before. Recommended. But not to shun cities, find something to love, there is much to.
