Johnny Blackthorn is a singer/songwriter with a repertoire that spans genres. His intelligent, biting lyrics are interposed with an infectious blend of roots rock, folk, blues and country that is heavily influenced by his Mississippi Delta upbringing. Blackthorn's music refers to the region with singles that are, according to one reviewer, "poetic, haunting, [and] eerily familiar." 

Blackthorn's third album, "Dry," is scheduled for release in May 2012. This album, following his debut collection, "I Belong Here" (1999) and his sophomore album, "Resurrection by Degrees" (2004), promises to be his most soulful album yet. Recorded in Boxmeer, Netherlands with legendary recording artist and producer BJ Baartmans, "Dry" carries echoes of Bob Dylan and Pink Floyd and calls to mind the brilliance of Quentin Tarantino's soundtracks. 

This band brings their blend of raw electric red clay hills blues, Southern-fried funk and turbocharged STANK.
