When I saw this picture, I thought it was perfect to covery the beauty and at the same time fragility of our planet. Which is what I was trying to do with this simple synth theme.

Venus Gospel

Yes, another of my songs using 7/4.  The verse pattern is 2-2-3.  I am using the higher ranges of my voice on this song.  I sing and play lead guitar on this song.  All other instruments and effects are those available in Cubase.  The guitar is a Squire Strat with David Gilmour EMG pickups.  The guitar effect is called The Wall.

Photosynthesis

Verse 1:
The sun is shining down
No one has a frown
On the many fine plants
Nor the friendly ants
They love the warmth
Even those in the North

Chorus:
Yes photosynthesis
That is the wonder
A long word in sentences
But it has thunder
It’s not a blunder
From way down under

Verse 2:
Turning the sun’s energy to life
Just like a man who loves his wife
Bringing water and gas together
Stringing molecules in a tether
Making oxygen out of thin air
Just an expression that is so fair

Life Giving Force
Keeping mankind alive

The energy stored in carbohydrates
That savor on our plates
Those little sugars that taste so good
Even when they seem like wood
Are at the core of life on Earth

The farewell is now announced,
nature mourns,
the summer is too much aged,
its clock is now ticking.

The becoming is past,
the parting sets in,
it shows itself in sublimity
as autumnal beautiful glow.

A silver-colored night robe
wraps mountain and valley,
the world - it shines in retirement,
the sun shines pale.

The dew pearls from stalk and leaf,
the sky shows its blue
and every drop reflects dully,
and brightens the gray of farewell.

A heavy course is carried out
in silent harmony,
It is life's farewell song
it will never go out.
