Doctor Marigold

Dave qualified from Bretton Hall with a BA (Hons) in Dramatic Arts. After leaving University Dave co-founded Big Adventures Theatre Company, based in Derby. For the last 22 years with Big Adventures he has worked on numerous shows as an actor, writer, director and musical director - including West Side Story, Singin’ In The Rain, Misery, The Turn of the Screw, Romeo and Juliet and Richard III among many others. 
Dave is an accomplished MD who has worked for Birmingham REP, Derby LIVE, Stoke New Vic, Oddsocks, Little Wolf, Evolution and Lichfield Garrick among others. 
He was the musical director for the film Nativity Rocks! and has been carrying out preliminary work on Debbie Isitt’s next film. 
Dave is a published playwright with his children’s musical - Daniel and the Lions - pub- lished by Samuel French and his adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles published by stageplays.com. His last musical - Whodunnit?! The Interactive Murder Mystery Musical - premiered in Derby last Summer.
Dave’s original compositions have been heard nationwide, at National Trust properties, various London theatres and 02 Arena, among other venues. 
He has just finished writing his third novel in his Esther Morstan-Eyre series of detective novels for young adults.
Dave also regularly writes jokes for Radio 4’s I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue and almost all of his offerings for the Uxbridge English Dictionary appeared in that publication at the end of last year (published by Penguin Random House).
