Reseda Country Club was a rock club venue in the 1970s through the early 90s. At the end of this tale, I had to call my girlfriend on a payphone (!) to pick me up. It's not wise to be a smartass in another person's subculture.

DAN: Hey, man!

it's a heavy metal place out in the valley

I realized  immediately when he doesn't punch me face

Because if he punched me in the face
That would typically mean that he thought he didn't have an advantage
And he's really angry

ME: Let me laugh this off

I recall I wrote most of the melody of this song inside my head while travelling and on some pre-written lyrics.  However when I got down to the singing, I couldn't cope with some of the notes.  I'm so glad Terry came to the rescue and did a marvelous job here.    He also brought some very nice tweaks to the melody, lyrics & harmony arrangement.  Hope you like our collaboration.
