Field Day (Fantasy Football Anthem)

THE FLOW is a guitar piece where the music goes through gentle modulations in a continuous stream of moods. It flows along different sections, some soft, some strong. It’s like the river I live next to, that has passed three different countries and many different places, it’s like my life’s experiences, the styles of music I came across, the feelings it tapped into…

Beyond the incredible venue, production, and beautiful collection of humans, there were three things that made set this extra special for me: opening the room to an empty dance floor, having the DJ booth in the center of the room, and playing the most original music I’ve played in a set. 

I rarely get to build a room from zero anymore, so I took great pleasure in playing records early on that are subtler, slowly building tension as people trickled into the venue. Having the booth in the center made it much easier for me to sense what the people sonically needed as the night progressed - we all were locked in for the last hour. 

I also blended the ambient room sounds with the mixer output capture the spirit of the night. You’ll hear the excitement of the crowd match the energy crescendo. When I listen to the set, it almost feels like I’m transported back to the party. 

It a very special gig, and I’m grateful to Robot Heart for having me play.

I’m an experimental guitar player. My inspirations draw from Buckethead, Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori, Hot water music, Dinosaur jr, and Failure (the band lol).

The Masters and their Craft is an experimental 22 song album I have been working on for the the past year. The entire work is a tribute to my favorite guitar player Buckethead. I tried my best with his style. Each song also represents a scene from my favorite science fiction story. Each song is a different genre!
