This is Mother’s Love...Vol.2 which continues the playlist from the first Album Mother’s Love released on 7 July 2021.

The name Mother’s Love comes from the selection of songs that I use to have on my personal playlist. My Mum (Pam) and late Mother-in-law (Hilda) loved the selection of music and was their favourite. So, this album is dedicated to them and all the Mums around the globe who play a very special part in our lives...

This Album has taught me more about recording, mixing and production techniques. It’s a very different kind of music and many instruments to blend, mix and master that big band effect. It has taken me to the next level on my musical journey...so I hope you enjoy listening or dancing to these songs. 

I have focused on artists like James Last, Bob More, Billy Vaughn, Ricky King, The Shadows, Acker Bilk, Henry Mancini, Helmut Lotti and Little Anthony and The Imperials...All are brilliant musicians and producers. 

When you do a cover version, you lay bare the artistry of the song and I’m very impressed with the brilliance of the musicality.  The music is of an era long forgotten and I’m keen to resurrect the virtuosity of this musical harmony.  I never ever dreamed that I would attempt such complex songs, but having crossed that threshold before, I have planned a few albums down the track...so watch this space...

If you have followed my music, you will realise that I cover many Genres and Artists and this Album is a major deviation, but I’m sure listeners will enjoy the artistry and musical harmony of these songs.

Mechanically licensed to post here and restore the concert audio for later release. We've since found the concert video and are working to restore the full performance for commercial release to all music platforms in the coming months after fans voted for its release. This cut has some small noise reduction  filtering on it. This one was originally by Daniel Bedingfield, and we're working from his acoustic version.

N: This is a song that Stephen was telling me he’s really digging on. Well, he didn’t probably use that language, I’m inserting those words in his mouth but that was kind of the way he said it, right Stephen?

Now, this song was originally done by a guy, and even though I’m changing the he’s to she’s, I’m not gonna change the names except for one – because I don’t think Brad Pitt is that cute. So, I’m going to swap in the name of my favorite redhead in his place in this song I think.

(various people give flak for claiming Brad Pitt isn’t cute)

N: Brad Pitt is not cute, I’m sorry!

Stephen: But Seth Green is cute instead?

N: Yes, Seth Green is cute instead!

(indistinguishable disagreement from Stephen and laughter from the crowd)

N: Shut it, talk to the hand, please. 

Stephen: (plays the song faster than he should)

N: Are you trying to kill me? You gotta slow that down a little bit. I’ve got a lot of words to fit in.

Stephen: (plays the song half as fast as he should; the crowd rightly laughs at whatever face N gives him in response to this, but she sings along slowly anyway to play his game. Thankfully Stephen is merciful and eventually plays at more or less the right tempo.)

During the V1 interlude, N: There’s a really cool beatbox thing that goes here but Stephen and I…aren’t going to try that.
