Derrin’s musical journey began on October 13, 1983 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Growing up surrounded by music he took to it at an early age. He left the country for Newport News, VA at the age of 2, but spent summers at his grandparent’s home in Yanceyville, NC.

In middle school he joined the band and quickly mastered every brass instrument before moving to saxophone, an instrument he also excelled at, earning him the 1st chair position in Hampton, Va’s All City Jazz band. It was during this time that he received his first guitar.

Initially Derrin struggled with the instrument and eventually stepped away from it for a while. After hearing Johnny Lang’s “Lie To Me” he became determined to learn. Picking the strings back up, Derrin quickly began to develop his blues chops which are still evident in his current work.

One fateful day while scanning the radio he came across a song that changed his life. The song… Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”. It was then that Derrin realized his calling. He eventually traded in his Telecaster for an Ibanez, and his Suzuki amp for a Marshall stack and was off to the races.

Derrin became a founding member of Hampton-based metal band Sarin. The band played numerous shows, and developed local popularity earning the opening slots for bands such as: Static X, Otep, and 2 Cent. After the band disbanded Derrin formed Into Ashes with friends of the band Lane Brown, and Michael Gergets, as well as his long-time friend Tony Reid.  

During a brief hiatus from Into Ashes, Derrin began a side project with Into Ashes bassist Lucas Arcangelo, and singer-songwriter Kimberly Hawks called VeraSpell.  The hard rock female fronted band was short lived, and Derrin resumed work with IA.  After a few successful shows opening for national acts such as Adrenaline Mob, and Fates Warning Derrin and Into Ashes went on an indefinite hiatus.  

In 2014 while in the midst of contemplating a move to Nashville to work with former VeraSpell lead vocalist Kimberly Hawks on her debut country album, Derrin was approached by former VeraSpell backing vocalist Laura Rice to join the rockin' new country band TypeCast.  After much deliberation Derrin decided to join TypeCast. 

The past year has been an extremely busy one for TypeCast.  With their debut single "Blame It On the Fireball" creating quite a buzz, Derrin and TypeCast are gearing up to begin recording their debut album come early 2016.

Maranda is a Superwoman who truly has her plate full: Wife, mother, singer, songwriter, producer, author and entrepreneur.  She is a woman determined to make a difference in the world and impact lives for time and eternity. Known for her powerful lyrics, soulful tone and passionate performances, this wife of 26 years and mother of 8 children allows the Holy Spirit to sing in and through her to change lives one note at a time.
 
Maranda was born in Camden, New Jersey.  She attended the Merit School of Music, a music conservatory in Chicago, Illinois and she was a brief member of the Warner Bros. recording group "Teen Dream".  She began writing in 1991 after she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  She released her first single, "In Your Presence" in 1991, her self-titled project "Maranda" in 2005, "You Give Me Life" in 2014 and "Deep Within" June 2016.

Maranda is currently working with Grammy nominated songwriter and producer Aaron Rice to release her next project, "Do It Again Jesus" August of 2018.
 
Maranda has a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from DeVry University and a Masters of Information Systems Management with Honors from Keller Graduate School of Management.  She resides in the Phoenix, Arizona area with her husband and children.

POP SONGSTRESS FIAMA CHANNELS HER BRAZILIAN ROOTS ON NEW SINGLE “OOWAA” — OUT 4/17/20

After a brief hiatus, FIAMA is back with a new single “Oowaa”, that finds her rediscovering her Brazilian roots. Once again singing in Portuguese, she effortlessly blends the indie-pop sounds she embraced on her sophomore album Way Too Happiness with the Brazilian tones from her debut They Say Fala. “Oowaa’ is part of a full circle journey that I’ve taken musically and spiritually,” Fiama says of her new single. “I’m   proud to be part Brazilian, or as we’d say ‘tenho orgulho de ser brasileiro.’  ‘Oowaa’ is an expression of that ‘orgulho’ (pride), linguistically and emotionally.” FIAMA was raised in the suburbs of Chicago by her Brazilian mother, but when she was fifteen, they left the midwest to move to her mother’s birthplace of Fortaleza, Brazil. It was there that FIAMA discovered the culture and sounds that would influence and inform her own music. With artists like Caetano Veloso, Milton Nascimento, Gal Costa, and Maria Bethânia in her ears, she was inspired to start writing songs of her own. Even without any formal musical training, FIAMA has always felt music unfolding within her.  She hears melodies and lyrics in her head as naturally as an internal conversation with herself. She translates that musical conversation into song through her “human trumpet noise” —  singing melodies and beat-boxing rhythms for instruments and grooves into her iPhone. With this single we get to experience the actualization of her creative spark. FIAMA’s mission has always been to give her audience nothing but her authentic self, and with ‘Oowaa’ it’s happening.

Septicopyemia is a Grindсore band from Russian Federation. Founded in 1995 under the name “Thromboemboly” the band was influenced by old Carcass, later the name was changed to “Septicopyemia”. 
In the late 90’s band released few demo-tapes – “Necrotic Mutilation/Endless Decay” 1996 “Sick Categories” 1998, “Pathophilism – Clinical Necrognosis” 1998 and few split tapes.

Septicopyemia split-up in 2000 and reunied in 2002 with few new members, and start working with new stuff. The first full CD "Vomiting Swamp" was recorded in November 2004 and was released only in 2006 by Moscow label Sound Age prod. 
During this time band played many gigs and took part in Petrogrind Fest, Coyote Brutal Fest, Metal Head's Mission open air, etc, and shared the stage with Squash Bowels, Dead Infection, Torsofuck, Decapitated, Tiamat, Holy Moses, Scrambled Defuncts, and others.

The next EP "Hungry Asses" saw the light in 2008 as split with Formalin by Sound Age prod., and re-released in 2009 as split CD with Ebanath and Stickoxydal by Ukrainian label Eclectic prod.
Band plays more gigs and festival, like Moscow Deathfest, Coyote Brutal fest Open Air, Zverovision fest in Kiev, Ukraine, and mighty Obscene Extreme open air in Czech Republic and share the stage with Napalm Death, Dying Fetus, Gut, Inhumate, etc
At this time band start to organize own brutal parties “Bukkake fest” and bringing the most insane international acts as Jig-Ai, Mucopus, Cenotaph, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Carnivore Diprosopus, SpermBloodShit, Gutalax, Katalepsy, and others… 

The next step was “Bukkake Blast” European tour with 12 shows in 6 countries in march 2011, with bands Demented Retarded, БУТ, Bloody Diarrhoea, Rubufaso Mukufo, G.O.R.E, D.E.O.A.G, Ass to Mouth, and others…
2012 starts with recording new stuff, the band took part in summer biggest Ukrainian metal open-air fest with Nile, Gorguts, Deranged, and in November new full CD "Supreme Art of Genital Carnage" was released by Bizarre Leprous prod., world famous grindcore label from Czech republic.
The band continues to share their plague to the masses, gigging and composing new material.

Our music is a mix of blasting and grooving grindcore with dual low/high vocals and some death metal touches, that pump the ass and shit is in… Lyrics are mostly mix of black humor, pathologies and some porn. Everything for the sick music gourmets!



Bet Smith’s songwriting ranges from traditional country to alternative folk, with inspiration drawn from her bread & butter: the blue-collar work that keeps food on the table and strings on her guitar.  A ticketed welder and experienced farm hand, her real-life experience gives her a perspective that can’t be acquired any other way. 

Bet has toured across Canada several times, and now tours Ontario almost exclusively with her band.  Bet Smith & The Currie Brothers have released two albums independently through the artist-run label, Pine Lake Records. They have enjoyed collaborating with treasured Canadian talent such as Johnny Fay  (The Tragically Hip), Miranda Mulholland (Great Lake Swimmers), Aaron Goldstein (Daniel Romano & The Trilliums and Lee Harvey Osmond), and Sascha Tukatsch (Platinum Blonde). The band’s successes have included main stage festival performances, national and international radio play, and the accolades of album reviewers in North America, the UK and Europe.    

Finding absurdity in every aspect of life, Bet’s up-tempo country songs are rich in tongue-in-cheek humor and wit, while her ballads are realistic and poignant portrayals of universal hardships. 

As an environmentalist and a woman working in fast and dirty trades, Bet also uses music as a tool for education and social change.  Bet’s most personal and political work is kept for the alternative-folk and indie-rock tunes performed with the Currie brothers. 

Amusing facts: Bet’s career as a welder led her from building inclined elevators on rugged Canadian hillsides, to working on the set for Drake’s Hotline Bling video.  Bet also spent three years living in a remote off-grid cabin on the west coast, where she grew veggies, bathed in a bucket and cooked on an open flame. 

Bet has a Fine Arts degree from York University in Toronto, Ontario, and a diploma in Art, Craft & Design from Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, British Columbia, where she studied Blacksmithing.

Phil Mettille aka D.P.M. is a Philadelphia based House DJ and Producer. 
This Philadelphia native grew up during the 80’s in an era when dance music and hip hop just began to take shape.  This music and its culture was his way of life.  It was then he decided he wanted to be a DJ and a producer. 

Some of his influences are Philadelphia DJ’s Jazzy Jeff, Don Mack and Jeff Rice.  Others to include Junior Vasques, Danny Tenaglia, Armand Van Helden, Carl Cox, Chocolate Puma and the list goes on. 
D.P.M.’s career as a DJ began in the early 90s playing small clubs, bars, college parties and professional sporting events. His ultimate goal was the “big” venues; to play where the top DJ’s in the industry where playing. D.P.M. wanted to be the "DJ's DJ".

He had the privilege to mix alongside and learn from some very talented people.  Their influence and success made him strive to enhance his skills and master a crowd.  Playing to hundreds, sometimes thousands of people, he emceed special events, performed live mix shows, secured residencies and guest appearances at many of the area’s biggest venues. Such as, Egypt, Shampoo, 8th floor, Gotham, Brownies Atlantic City, Baja, Rock Lobster, Deco, Yellow Jackets, Life and other various clubs. 

Soon after, music and night life were in a transition and lounges took the place of dance clubs.  He found it was time for a change.  After some brief time off from the club scene, he focused on building an investment company, but remained deeply committed to his obsession for music.  Production was the obvious next phase of which lead him to his latest project.  D.P.M’s set to release multiple all original productions.

His style and brand of DJing is unique in that his philosophy is to always stay creative, never sound the same and keep the crowd guessing.  The placement and timing of every transition, mix, effect, loop and sample has its place in building a set. Compose those elements with the feel of the crowd and you’ve created limitless energy. D.P.M.’s goal is to make his performance an event and an experience that will keep the crowd on its feet and coming back for more.  He continues to create and innovate with every performance. “It’s not about the DJ, it’s about the crowd, no gimmicks just the music.”


The Man in the BLACK LEATHER Jacket stood down by Oakland Beach looking out at the sea. He was wondering what ever happened to the good times of fun rock and roll of bands like The Ramones and Cheap Trick. He remembered WHEN THESE THINGS WERE COOL and longed for them to return. The time of new exciting music seemed long gone and this made him feel ROTTEN TO THE CORE. It was then that a fast, deep fog came upon the shore making it impossible for him to see his own hands in front him. As he walked in confusion, he spied a clearing in the distance and moved towards the light. When he stepped out of the fog, he found himself IN THE SHADOW OF THE CITY he recognized as New York. More specifically, he was on W23rd Street outside the Chelsea Hotel. He was looking at the building wondering how he arrived in this place. He thought he saw Johnny Thunders staring out the window at him but the shade was quickly drawn. He shook his head to try to clear this image when suddenly the front doors swung wide open and out walked Dee Dee, Johnny and Tommy Ramone. They were walking towards the man and stopped about five feet  from him. They were having an argument about whether someone named Sheena was the ultimate PUNK ROCK GIRL. Johnny appeared frustrated and began to walk away. Dee Dee followed, continuing the heated discussion. As Tommy passed the man, he said under his breath “ALL MY FRIENDS ARE BRATS”. A sudden darkness overtook the man. He felt his head spin like his mind was caught in a raging tornado. When he awoke instead of being IN THE NIGHT, he was strapped to a table with a bright light shining into his eyes. When he was able to blink a few times to clear the dots and focus, there was a man in a filthy white lab coat examining him in both disgust and glee. He suspected that the deranged doctor going to perform horrible acts upon on him. A low, calm voice came from behind the “doctor” and said “REANIMATOR”, I have been following this guy for many years. I believe he may be the one to return my spirit to rock and roll and let it never be BROKEN. Hey Ho let's go with the transformation.” The man spied where the voice was coming from and he saw a tall man in a biker jacket and round sunglasses. He thought for sure it was Joey Ramone! The Reanimator was now holding a syringe with a 12-inch needle. He turned to Joey and asked, “Shall I proceed Mr. Ramone?” A smirk came over Joey’s face. He shook his head “yes”. The man’s life was suddenly passing in front of him. He thought of his dear Miss Elizabeth. SHE’S SUCH A THRILL! The needle entered his ear canal. It was then the man noticed that he felt no pain as if he was already dead. He then began to twitch and turn. He eventually stopped trembling and rose from the table. The Reanimator yelled “He is alive! Electric Joey is born!” An instant later, the newly born Electric Joey found himself back on Oakland Beach staring towards the sea and pondering what lay beyond it. There were worlds to be conquered with the SOUND WAVE of music he would write. He had then a vision of his bandmates and knew their names to be Electric Greg and Eee Eee. ELECTRIC JOEY IS PUNK ROCK….1,2,3,4!

Our planet is run by an elite group of deranged psychopaths who use manipulation and subtle psychological programming to socially engineer huge swathes of ordinary human beings, the music industry is just one of their tools and makes most popular music a mass marketing psychosis for the purposes of keeping human beings vibrational frequencies low. The most you can do to combat this is use your creativity freely and most important of all share it with other people as service to others and not to yourself.

Ian Michael Ross is a multi instrumentalist, composer and Music Director from Bristol, UK. 

Ian started playing music in living rooms, barns and youth clubs in rural Somerset, adding keys and trombone to ska, punk and big bands in the area. He has a degree in Musical Instrument Technology from London Guildhall University and cut his teeth playing festivals, tea rooms, weddings, pavements and raves from New York, U.S.A., to Penzance, Corwall with Bristol based Babyhead and The Zen Hussies throughout his mid to late twenties. 

In 2008 Ian auditioned for Kneehigh Theatre’s Brief Encounter and played Guitar, mandolin, Trombone, Piano and Double bass for its opening at on the Haymarket. There followed more than 20 shows performing and music directing for the company nationally and internationally including, The Red Shoes, The Wild Bride, Tristan and Yseult, The Flying Lovers of Vitebsk (Directed by Emma Rice) and Dead Dog in a Suitcase (Music by Charles Hazlewood, Directed by Mike Shepherd). 

Ian has composed for Kneehigh (Hansel and Gretel, The very Old man with Enormous Wings, The flying Lovers of Vitebsk) and for The Shakespeare Globe (Twelfth Night); currently he is the Director of Music for Wise Children and an Associate Artist of Kneehigh.  

Most recently Ian is Music Director for the Toronto/London run of Girl form the North Country (Written and directed by Colin McPherson, Runaway Entertainment).  

As a workshop leader, Ian has led the Creative Factory for Bath Festivals Trust and is involved with the School for Wise Children. In 2016 Ian went to the Jungle in Calais with Mike Shepherd and Kneehigh to offer workshops with Good Chance Theatre.
