Giraffe is Gayle Davidson and her band.

The name is kind of a funny story.  Gayle has the heart and legs of a European Giraffe.

English born, Gayle grew up between London and Spain and then moved to NYC on September 11, 2001.

She has always had great timing.

During New York's period of recovery, Gayle dressed up as a super hero giraffe person and stalked about the city at night, fighting crime.

After many years of songwriting and heroism, she moved to Los Angeles in 2003 at the behest of Ronald and Nancy Regan.

Growing up in Europe, Gayle was raised on terrible pop music, mixed with traditional overly-sexual R&B.

Gayle's dad was a pop star for a minute, and dated Twiggy Lawson, but then went into textiles.

It's funnier than you think.

A long time vegan and PETA advocate, Gayle has recently started eating eggs and feta cheese.

She lives in a fancy farm house in the Hollywood Hills, with a strange producer and her slightly deranged little girl, Petal.

They have a tree swing and a good life.

Her garden is amazing and yields the world's best tomatoes, chamomile, fava beans and various herbs.

She gets the mail every morning in an old pair of crocks and underpants.

A pillar in the fashion world, Gayle is the co-inventor of The Petal Skirt, an amazing garment that will probably cure cancer and bring about world peace.

Her debut EP, Trajectory, is the most important album that has ever been made and was recorded in a hot air balloon, while flying over the Pacific Ocean during El Niño.

The drummer is Jason Ganberg.  One of LA's best, Jason is the long-time drum teacher of Neil Peart, Dave Weckl and Robin Thicke.

The guitarist is Capital.  A lover of all things Japanese and Bossa Nova, he also fronts his own band, Bossa Zuzu.

On bass is Grant Fitzpatrick.  Originally from Australia, Grant moved to America with the Riverdance people and has since played bass with just about everyone cool.

The EP was made during Gayle's divorce and is a celebration of love and life and all things healthy and not bitter.

1. Sustainable Living (“Mossburg City”) – The SpaceRangers have always been interested in living sustainably. The basic outline is simple. We begin a tribe of 50-150 people. After gaining the proper knowledge and resources needed, we will have positioned ourselves to obtain a large plot of land in which we can design and build our sustainable micro-civilization. As our tribes size reaches numbers exceeding 200 people, we would proceed by obtaining another large plot of land – and doing it all over again. This process would establish a trading route in which we can easily and inexpensively transport products and services along our festival circuit. Each “city” will be designed with permanence in mind, able to survive the test of time. This is an investment that will be available for our grandchildren and their grandchildren to enjoy! They will surely thrive in an environment offering abundant healthy water, food, shelter and fuel, open media and inflation free trade, a supportable festival structure and an adaptable educational system.

2. Spiritual maturity / Self Government (“The Sacred Church of Space and Earth”) – All people are truly good by nature and deserve the freedom, support and education they need to find their spiritual center and true life will. A goal of our tribe is to compile a communal philosophy that fosters these beliefs and offers an outline on how a community conducts celebrating our simultaneous coexistence!

3. The birth of the educational festival system (“SpaceRanger BootCamp”) – Creativity is as important to education as literacy and should be treated with the same status. (Our current systems are educating people out of their creative capacity.) Should math be more important than dance? Don’t we all have bodies? Students should be free to navigate all fields of expression and study - on their quest for “personal fulfillment”.
