Bio- Billy “ThUmPaH ” Ferraro realized his “destined” instrument just days after receiving a toy drum on his first Christmas at the age of 9 months old. The relationship of boy and drum quickly became comparable to the one Linus Van Pelt shares with his blanket. Fast forward to 4th grade when he eagerly enrolled into the school music program and was devastated to learn that all of the drum chairs were already spoken for by his older peers. Despite finding himself in the...ahem… ”flute section” (the only boy), he stuck it out and excelled to the point where his instructor encouraged him to seek more advanced lessons because of his natural ability. Looking back it wasn’t a total loss, as it did teach him how to read music (something that would come in handy a few years later). During the “flute years” he continued to plead for drum lessons and a drum kit. As a result of his persistence, devotion and possibly to thwart the further destruction of dashboard, pot lid, mattress and ottoman “drum kits”... his parents landed him a REAL drum kit and it was on!
However, something that shouldn't be overlooked here,  is the patience and understanding exercised by all (family and neighbors) who were living in and around the family 3 tenement in South Lawrence during these "developmental" drumming years. It wasn't at all uncommon for him to spend an entire day locked in his 3rd floor bedroom at the drums. In hindsight, he can't fathom how they put up with it and knows full well that if not for their perseverance this musical journey may have ended right then and there.

 While studying with respected instructors like Jim Lattini (who lucky for him is his step-dad's cousin) and Berklee professor Bruce Gertz, he was cutting his teeth with countless local bands and musicians in many different genres. A few bands that he has performed/recorded with in no particular order are: Fortune, Sweet Roy Jones, Erick Preston's - Jimi Hendrix Experience, BarrNone, Legion of Doom, Analog Kidz, Love Stained Rhythm, The Tom Dixon Band and he has performed in former Boston Celtic forward Walter McCarty's "Save the Music Foundation" backing band. 
 
 If asked to list ONLY 10 musical influences that had the most impact from the beginning to the present, they would read something like this - Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones, Joe Morello, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Phil Collins, Neil Peart and Tommy Lee.
 
 His passion for drumming is obvious, though he contends that drum kit customization (designing/“theming”) is just as stimulating a creative outlet as playing. Since the start tinkering with his drums and hardware was something he just loved to do. In the early years this usually took place when it was past “playing hours”, so the brainstorming would typically take place from 8pm to whenever. A hobby fueled by an overactive creative streak and the inevitable indifference he finds with his drum kit's: finish/color, dimensions, timbre, configuration, portability or mounting limitations. It is also a hobby he hopes to one day parlay into at least his part time vocation….stay tuned!

In early 2015 a pair of musically gifted guys played together for the first time and struck it lucky. Their voices blended and their intricate guitar skills complimented one another… they were the perfect musical match… hence the name!

 

Match brings a unique flavour to the sound of the local and international acoustic music scene.

 

The lack of a full drum-kit, which started out as a limitation, quickly presented itself as an asset as Match breaks ground in terms of looping, acoustic duo-arrangement and vocal percussion. Very quickly, Match learned that this stylistic addition to their sound played a large part in the studio production and live performance of their songs and, according to crowd response, became an aspect of performance that audiences both found unique and memorable. 

 

Lyrically, Match is authentic, believable and honest in their thoughts and themes on dreams and aspirations, heartache, family, loyalty and of course, love.

 

The production of Match’s first studio album brought along with it some necessary additions to the recorded, and ultimately live, sound of their music. The decision to add in musical aspects such as a piano, a bass guitar and the occasional string section turned out to broaden the sound of their music ten-fold – making it more accessible to the market and overall a much more stimulating listening experience.

 

Match realized that in order to stay true to the product on the album in terms of live performance they needed to find more members. Per chance, when recording session work at another studio, they made the acquaintance of Wilson Okafor – a music producer and pianist who happened to study Musical Score Composition at the Berklee College of Music in the United States. They had an opportunity to play a few songs for him and he fell in love immediately!

 

Match welcomed Mr.Okafor to the family and the three of them have been inseparable ever since!

 

Stylistically focusing on the perfection and innovation of instrumental musicianship and prominently including the sound of dual vocal harmonies, Match aims to bring back something that music seems to have lost over the years – true and raw talent.

 

Match aims to appeal to the broader market and will continue to create and compose music that digs down to the core of what it means to be human and, with a little help from their fans, get some hips moving too!

         Founded in 2007 by drummer/songwriter Eric Stevens, Black Pearl is a spin-off of the Inland Empire's local classsic rockers, "Daisycutter". Motivated to get out of the local scene and take things to the next level, Stevens created "Black Pearl" with the intent of presenting a true classic rock show with great tunes and a stimulating live performance. With long time friend and songwriter, Tom Morrison, Stevens and Morrison have combined to create some truly inspiring and original sounding music. The rhythms and melodies are inspired by the best, such as the Beatles, Rush, Pink Floyd, Genesis, and The Who.
        The new line-up for 2018 includes Eric Stevens, Grammy winner Phil Naro, Adam Morse and Rick “The Ace” Ventura.

There are few individuals within the underground dance music industry able to match Chris Fortier for both influence and achievement over the last two decades. With a mandate predicated upon the deceptively simple notion of "constant musical evolution", the founder and owner of the globally renowned Fade Records, is not constrained by boundaries, reflected in both the music he plays and creates.

An extensive list of achievements is testament to such elevated ideals, perhaps best showcased by the iconic 2005 "Balance 007" compilation; a groundbreaking CD at the vanguard of a fresh, innovative and underground sound movement, that history would later record as an aural blueprint for the worldwide dance music explosion that followed in the subsequent decade and beyond. A further eight commercially released mix albums would also contain the Chris Fortier DNA.

As a production artist, Fortier's portfolio of skills have been crafted and honed through an intimate 20-year knowledge of clubs across the globe's dance-floor capitals – from Tokyo, Melbourne, Mexico City to Budapest and Buenos Aires to residencies at the legendary AAHZ in Orlando in the early 90’s through to New York's Twilo and London's The Cross. Always in demand and prolific in output, a continually rising 400 plus Beatport production credits tell only half of an impressive story. Fortier's remix of Delerium's "Silence", was the first and original remix and sold in excess of one million copies worldwide; while work for John Digweed's Bedrock imprint further cemented an ever-growing reputation alongside the full-length album, "As Long As The Moment Exists" and its follow-up remix album on behemoth Australian imprint, EQ.

Never one to rest on his proverbial laurels, Chris' productions have seen him take on the mantle of highly regarded modern producer with releases spanning the underground sound including most recently on Bedrock, Selador, Balance, Mooseeka, Tulipa, Maya, Manual, Ground Factory, Maktub, Mindwarp and his own imprint Fade. His remixes and collaborations since 2009 tell their own tale, as Chris remains as integral, relevant and at the leading edge in the Underground as ever. With an innate and immaculate sense of what makes the industry tick, built upon longstanding personal experience, Fortier's musical evolution shows no sign of extinction.

The intense emotions, sensory experience including vibrancy of colors, and particular mental state provoked by temporal lobe abnormalities may have contributed to the creation of works of art. Cognitive neuroscience researcher Michael Persinger asserts that stimulating the temporal lobe electromagnetically can cause temporal lobe epilepsy and trigger hallucinations of apparent paranormal phenomena such as ghosts and UFOs. Neurotheologians speculate that individuals with temporal lobe epilepsy, having a natural tendency to experience states of consciousness such as euphoria or samādhi, have functioned in human history as religious figures or shamans.

Epilepsy Injection Device (based London, UK) has been established as duo in 2008 by former members of bands NYIA and Hyperion. All samples, FX effects and some song structures have been created and recorded during before or after attack states of Alan (bass, drum and sampler programming). Unique visions and feelings loaded on his brain while as attacks appear are great inspiration. Together with unusual sonic sense of Mateusz (guitarist) they create extraordinary combination of metal, industrial with experimental touch. It is main reason of band's name choice.

Music of Epilepsy Injection Device has been evolved from regular metal tunes to more and more delicate and melodic states. Debut material named "Consciousness Expansion" has been recorded on December 2010 in Frequency Institute Studio (North London, UK). Album consists 8 compositions created on late 2009 and 2010. First songs have been recorded as well under EP "Technological SIngularity".

Tom, known from Third Degree band, has been joined Epilepsy Injection Device on June 2011 as long wanted vocalist.

It began way down south in Tennessee. A young boy making sounds on rusty guitar strings being plucked on an old beat up guitar.  Dreaming of becoming a guitar player, Randall Alan Malone’s fascination to create music was a seed planted that grew intently in the young boy’s heart.  As Malone grew into a teen he was inspired by the guitar heroes of the 80’s such as Eddie Van Halen,  Joe Satriani, and Steve Vai to name a few.  At the age of 14 he began by picking up his first real guitar purchased by his parents at a local music store.  He quickly and intently acquired lessons from various skilled guitar teachers.  As the next few years passed and with a desire to learn more about his passion, Malone attended Hollywood, California’s famous Musician’s Institute in 1993.  During this time he studied under many well known and accomplished musicians such as his personal instructor Danny Gill (Hericane Alice), Nick Nolan, Keith Wyatt. Throughout this period his confidence and creativity grew to a new height.  Driven with zeal to create, Malone spent all of his time writing songs and forming bands and most of all performing. As his persistence paid off he was offered opportunity after opportunity to share the stage with many great musicians and bands such as: Skillet, Disciple, Sonic Flood, Salvador, Hawk Nelson, Children 18:3, Nevertheless, East West, Jars of Clay, As Cities Burn, Fixed Til Tuesday (AKA/ I am Terrified), The Showdown, Carmen, Jaci Velasquez, Crystal Lewis, Steven Curtis Chapman, Rachael Lampa, and Jennifer Knapp.    
Malone has five studio recordings to his credit. Three of these recordings were with the rock/metal band Braden’s Journey, to which he invested about seven years of writing, recording, and traveling extensively all over the U.S. playing at countless venues. Two Braden’s Journey songs accompanied by videos filmed by Revelation Sports appeared on two of the company’s DVDs with other bands like Flyleaf, Disciple, Gretchen.   Randall Malone’s newest studio recording titled “Heart of the Lion” is a rock/ metal guitar instrumental packed with a powerful heartfelt punch. This recording is his best guitar work to date as it is overflowing with a feeling of energizing passion and drive.  “This go around I was able to spend more time in the studio creating and writing songs.  I didn’t have a time limit and I was the only contributing person on this project, so if I didn’t like a part here or there, then I would just rewrite it on the spot sometimes spending hours on a  five or ten second guitar riff until I was completely satisfied with the way it sounded,” says Malone. “This album is all me from the guitar and bass parts to the cover art. I am thrilled and blessed by God to be able to follow my passion, and by doing that I can influence people to enjoy music, life, and to follow their dreams. My wish is that everyone enjoys this cd as much as I enjoyed making it.” 
Malone’s new cd is stimulating and revitalizing, you will want to reach for your air guitar after listening to the first track.
